Server: GTA RP
Character Name: Glen Killick
Steam ID: 76561198079170245
Ban ID (just the numbers): 13903
Ban Reason: C2.3
Why do you think you were banned: I was being kidnapped by 2 possible gang members who wanted to rob me and put me in the boot of their car. And instead of complying and engaging in any roleplay I just logged out.
Why should we unban you: Dear Roleplay.co.uk Staff,

I hope you're well. I'm reaching out to appeal my ban for combat logging (C2.3) on the server. I get that the rule is there to keep things fair and immersive for everyone, and I understand that my actions messed with that experience.

I can see how logging out in the middle of a situation disrupted the flow of roleplay. I made a bad decision in the moment, and unfortunately that has ruined any chance of a story line and good RP developing.
.
Since the ban, I have been playing on other smaller servers and have had time to practice and improve my roleplay and I am now ready to return as a serious player and provide some great roleplay. Since being away I myself have experienced other players combat logging in my situations and its made me realize how annoying and usually unfair this is on everyone involved as it breaks the flow of roleplay and wastes my time and theirs, and I simply don't have time for it anymore, I want to come online, have a good time myself and make others have a good time too. Looking back at the situation I was in, I should have of just gone along with the interaction even if I didn't agree with it, as like I said it could of started a new storyline and I could of dealt with it appropriately at another time rather than just logging out.

If I was to be unbanned I would be happy to start a new character and totally remodel the way I would play compared to last time. I have refamiliarized myself with the server rules and am confident that this time I will not be breaking any rules going forward.
I understand that trust isn't something that is automatically gained but I promise that I will be a better player moving forward and I will only be providing fair and high quality roleplay. I really regret what I've done and can only hope for your understanding and another chance in the server.
Thanks a lot for considering my appeal. I appreciate your time, and I hope to hear back from you soon.
Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

Good afternoon @milze123

Firstly, I'd like to ask - Did you use AI to write your appeal, or have assistance in writing this through some other tool?
I'd advise you to be honest.

Thank you for your reply.

I wrote the appeal in my own words, I didn’t use AI but I did get my friend to read through it and check for grammar and spelling. I’m dyslexic and autistic so it can be tricky to write things like this so needed someone to check it over for me.
Thanks

So then, why does over half of what's written in your appeal, come back as AI written?

We're not bothered about spelling and grammar so much - as long as it's written yourself!

I wrote all my points down and got my friend to read through it and make sure it flowed and made sense and also didn’t come across as rude as this is something that can happen. Whether they used Ai or not I don’t know but maybe I should’ve just written myself and hoped it made sense and then let you guys ask your questions.
Would you like me to re write it entirely in my own words?
Thanks

Yes please.

I'll give you a chance to do so in your next reply.
Again, we don't care much about grammar or spelling, as long as it's truthful and contains some effort.

Why do you think you were banned:
I was put in the boot of a car after two people tried to hit and rob me for no reason and I logged out while I was in the car because I was in there for ages and thought it was unfair

Why should we unban you:
I think you should unban me because it has now been 2 years since I combat logged. I have been playing on another server for a while and have got a lot better at role play and understand the rules and why you have them. I have had a few times on the other server where someone has combat logged and it ruined the situation I was in and wasted time and also stopped a story from happening. I have been reading the rules again on your server lately and really want to get back into a good server with more people and have fun again. I don't think I had anything to lose at the time I just didn't want to be kidnapped for no reason but I should of just let it happen and see what happened but what I did was unfair to the other players and probably annoyed them.

I would be up for starting a new character and make a good story for them and do some good role playing

I really regret what I did and please could I have another chance to show you guys that I am a good player and that I won't let you or my self down

Thank for you reading

Hi @milze123

Thank you for that.

Now, as you are aware we have rules in place for a reason, can you explain to me what the rule C2.3 is and why we have this in place, in your own words?

What would you do if you found yourself in a similar situation, where you are incapacitated and in a boot of a car?

You have that rule in place to make things more realistic and make fair role play, to stop people from quitting to try and keep expensive items or get away from police and gangs etc.
If I was in that situation again I would stay in the game and carry on with the role play and not combat log. And if I still felt like it was unfair I would make a report.

Thanks

Have you read through our rules?
What other rules do you think is important that we have, to RP?

What are your plans should you be unbanned?

G2.3 Rp everything
G2.4 Value life
G2.12 Poor quality RP
G5.2 Believable characters
G1.6 Being in character

Yes I have read the rules again and I think that they are all important but I think these ones are especially important to good roleplay

If I get unbanned I would like to make a character that isn't based on crime and try and work towards joining G6 or the police force. So going up to that I plan to use the normal civilian jobs in the city and try to meet similar players so I can learn the ins and outs of the city as I have been away for a while now so would need get familiar with what is happening around the city
Thanks

Good morning @milze123

I am open to giving you a chance, as your answers are satisfactory enough.
However, should you find yourself banned for C2.3 again in the next 3 months, you will be placed on a longer cool down period of which you can appeal.
Do not waste this chance, and ensure you read through all the rules thoroughly before rejoining.

Welcome Back!
UNBANNED!
