Why do you think you were banned: I think I was banned due to me speaking out of term within roleplay at the time I was banned. I was told by a certain person, coming from them telling me their age and that they were under 18 years of age and I did tell a dev about the situation. I was honestly trying to make sure that I wasn't in the wrong at the time by hanging about with someone who was underage and me knowing this information I didn't want it coming back on me, I sort of distanced myself from them a little bit and at the time when I was speaking to them I was wanting them to admit their age so others could hear as well as I know that you can't be on the server if you're not of age. I know that I also got banned for harassment, which at the time of the situation I didn't realise I was coming across this way towards them. This sort of situation will be avoided in future and I will refrain from getting involved in. In future If a situation like this or other kind of situation I will open a ticket or speak to a staff member and let them deal with the situation, which I should have done. I have learned from the ban that I was in the wrong.

I am sincerely sorry for this situation that occurred and towards the party(s) involved in this if I caused any harm because of it.
Why should we unban you: I have just recently started roleplaying the past couple of months and I didn't realise at the time that I was breaking rules, I have took time away from roleplaying, I have read through the server rules now a few times to get my head around all of the community/server rules to understand them a lot better and in depth. Also so that situations like this won't occur in future. I want to try and refrain from breaking any rules and want to make sure I play on the server properly without any fault. As I have been learning the ways of roleplay and I do really enjoy roleplaying on this server.

I would really like to come back to the server with a fresh mind and, with reading through the rules a few times I think I am ready for it.

Why did you go out of your way yourself to get proof of age from another player? Why did you not open up a ticket with staff first about a user being potentially under-age?

Hey @Mark Thankyou I'm not bad thanks, I hope you're well too!

At the time I felt as I needed to get proof as I thought I may have had the proof when speaking to a staff about it, but I realised that I didn't at the time and thought that I should try and lure my way into getting some sort of proof that I thought I may have had and that it would help the staff out.

I now realise after being away from the server for a few weeks in my own space and reading away at the rules more in depth that I really should not have gone about doing it this way in trying to get the proof and let the staff team deal with the situation completely.

As I said before I am fairly new to roleplay and this server being my first one as well. This doesn't change any matter of fact that I did breach rules, it is my responsibility to read rules and understand them, this goes for any kind of server/community that you join. I am very apologetic towards the whole situation and didn't really think or realise that I was in fact breaching these at the time of the situation. I can assure that this won't happen again, I want to stick to the rules as this makes it fair on everybody involved in every situation if we're all on the same page.

If I was to have a second chance back I would make sure to avoid breaking any rules like this situation or any other kind of the sorts. I do really love playing on this server and have grown to really enjoy playing here, I've made a bunch of new friends that I would not have If it wasn't for this community. I am appreciative for that and hope you would consider opening me with another chance.

With this can you explain the rules C1.4 and C1.7 in your own words and why we have them in place?

Would you say it's appropriate to ask someone random for proof of age? As much as you are new to roleplay and the community would you say it's appropriate to go asking for proof of age? And would you feel comfortable having a random person on the internet pressing you for proof of age?

C1.4 - This is a rule set in place for any threats towards anyone and/or harassment towards another person. Any of the sorts is not tolerated within the community.

C1.7 - This is a common sense rule. Basically it can be a whole list of different things this could be used against you on. Things that should be of natural nature and you shouldn’t need to be told that it is not allowed.

Having time away to think about what I was doing at the time..

I would say it is not an appropriate thing to do for trying to ask for proof of somebody’s age that I don’t know on that kind of level. Being new to roleplay and this community I don’t think that is the sort of thing I should be doing, trying to get the proof of somebody’s age.

This thing I should have at the time just told staff about the situation and let them monitor it and get the proof in a more appropriate and proper way.

Yeah if someone I didn’t know to a full extent was asking me any questions like this and I didn’t want to tell them anything like that at all that sort of thing wouldn’t make me feel comfortable.

It would be different if you knew the person for a while and you know them on a more personal level you could maybe drop those kinds of questions in and they’ll tell you if you want you to know that kind of thing.
But the way I was going about, this I can see this definitely isn’t the proper way of doing anything like what I did.
