Response to Dispatches when no NHS online

Brief Summary: Allow Advanced Medic Police to see incapacitated NHS requests when there are no NHS online.

Detailed Suggestion: I used to play an ARMA server years ago that implemented a system where police who had medical training (in this case AMT) were able to see NHS dispatches for individuals requesting NHS when incapacitated so that they could assist if they were free to do so. It was more a low priority thing that police were able to do when things were quiet and there were no NHS. I know here it may be useful and it could work so that once a NHS worker logs on the AMTs are no longer able to receive dispatches. This could be extended to Rangers any maybe G6 too.

The Pros: When there are no NHS allowing factions to sub in and assist in this capacity after receiving the lengthy AMT training will enable individuals to still receive treatment and be picked up where appropriate.

The Cons: Factions can't DNR - we don't have that mechanic however, could be a workaround by RPing injuries not compatable w/ life, faction turns up sees this and doesn't attempt to assist?
Another Con i could see someone saying is factions being able to respond to downed individuals could limit RP however, with NHS on duty if they respond and see criminal intentions 9/10 times they press their panic buttons.

Does this suggestion change balance on the server? Yes that AMTs would get extra dispatches however, their powers would remain the same.

This defeats the whole purpose of the NHS. If you want to do medical RP, make an NHS character.

This is exactly how it worked on arma.

Now is it ideal on FiveM? No
Do I want it? No

But with the current state of the NHS, more people is always needed and until the I think this is a good solution.

Well no, and frankly people aren’t creating NHS characters in numbers.

People not getting NHS attention only hurts player retention which is something we need to increase not decrease.

Then we need to make NHS more interesting to join, not give police mains even more to do without making a different character.

I have a lot of opinions on the state of the NHS atm but this is not the place to get into them.

However since FiveM started the state of the police and how it has developed is incredible. Whereas the NHS seems to have changed very little since arma.

Yes there is development aspects which are cool but the structure has remained the same.

So current it isn’t changing enough to make people want to join so rather than leaving it as it is, this can be a solution to supplement the NHS.

This isn’t a suggestion to turn police RP into NHS it’s just to help the server as a whole, I don’t see the issue.

+1 I have actually mentioned this in the past verbally and think it would be a great idea. I understand Police and NHS are supposed to be separate, but the whole point would be for when NHS arent around.

As NHS, it can be enjoyable to NHS at times, but a lot of the time its quite draining and a lot of work, and because of that, the 5k pay per person isn't as enticing as it once was. But I wont get into all that, long story short NHS aren't around as often in the later hours, and that causes a lot of people to just die which shatters immersiveness. If we have a group of people who are around till like 3am (like police) who can attend to downed dispatches in their free time and either help the person or bring them to pillbox, then that helps keep the person immersed and stops more stupid deaths.

Personally I have my own rule of "Don't get downed past 11pm because you will most likely just end up dying", which feels completely wrong and definitely breaks any RP immersion I have. It definitely sucks for if I fall down a small gap or got hit by a local car, cause then I am just forced to lose everything on me because of such a small stupid thing.

+1 - Couldn't have said it better myself.

I do not see many negatives here.

Player retention - ✅
More roleplay opportunities -✅
NHS training, therefore NHS managed (AMT) - ✅

The only concern I'm sure many people will have is the police faction having the ability to do this, therefore having an effect on criminal vs police situations. There is however rules to aid these concerns already... Combat reviving, police position abuse and power-gaming.

AMTs already have the option to do this and it is not abused. To get this option, you need an AMT course which is like 3H long and only lasts 6 months (if I am not mistaken). After then, you need to take the AMT course again.
