Why do you think you were banned: Afternoon, Hope your having a good week so far. I was banned due to using this said exploit to gain an advantage over other players.
Why should we unban you: I have taken the time while being unbanned to educate myself further with this exploiting rule and how to deal with them. I will always try my best to be 100% honest with staff. I regret my choice to break this rule because it showed disrespect and damaged the trust you may have for me, and I can see how it affects others. While I have been banned I have taken some time to understand why the rule matters. I have learnt that the rules are there to keep the server a safe, fair and respectful place. If I was in the same situation again I wouldn't use it to my advantage, I would come forward to staff much earlier and explain the exploit in detail and how I came across it.

You've made a few statements and implemented a couple of buzzwords, but I don't see any convincing message or detail as to why we should unban you. I'll give you the opportunity to respond to this post, make a more compelling argument.

I am very sorry for the actions and damages I have caused from breaking this rule. I will put my all into not breaking any rules for the future and only improve. Being apart of this community is a pleasure, a pleasure that I don't want to lose. I have come to realise that me sacrificing my place in this community is not something I want to do. I do not want to jeopardise my opportunity to be apart of this community any further than I already have. If I was to be unbanned I will do my upmost in keeping my place and apply myself in rp more such as: following my police character further and progressing up the ranks.

You've touched on many points others make in their appeals, which suggests to me you've read other appeals - successful ones at least. However, you've been very vague on each point brought up, and no further explanation is provided for each point.

It reads to me as if you have no genuine message to communicate to us - just hollow words, essentially saying "I'm sorry, I want to come back". We need more than that.

Given this is your first appeal, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Thank you for the reply and hope you've had a good bank holiday.

I mentioned in the ticket which this ban initiated from. While <redacted by staff>, I had figured out a way to shoot third person, this was at accident at first but I then took the information and used it to my advantage and used it in gunfights.

As you have mentioned before I had visited some previous appeals which were for the the same ban. I had gone to these appeals to figure out an idea on how they dealt with them and how they educated themselves to avoiding this outcome again. I have also visited other servers while banned and have familiarised myself with RPUK rules.

I thought I was ahead and could break rules without being caught. I broke this rule with knowing I could get banned for it. The difference now after this situation is I have learnt my lesson. I believe after being banned I know the consequences of breaking rules. This is something that will guide me to keeping truthful and loyal to the rules. This situation has changed how I see the rules and I have gained more respect for staff, rules, for the server as a whole.

Why did you do it?

The reason as to why I did it is because I wanted to get more kills in the gunfights. This is something which was building up before breaking this rule and something which affected me.

I have revised the RPUK rules and also used other servers with similar rules to educate myself with them practically, abiding to rules whilst roleplaying. Following the rules is very crucial to make the roleplaying experience enjoyable, fair and respectful.

The consequences have definitely taught me a lot about the server and why abiding to the rules is so important. I believe this is a place where people come to "escape reality" and have an enjoyable time. The cons to breaking rules definitely outweigh the pros which has made me realise that following the rules is definitely the way I want to go.

Like I have mentioned earlier, I feel like I was behind everybody else when it came to gunfights, I thought this would help me. I was worrying about others more than myself.

As to any other rule breaks, I have not broken any other rules before. There isn't anything I am hiding.

No I wouldn't, even though I may of wanted to have more kills during gunfights I still have the opinion of RP is more fun than gaining a few kills in a fight. I would most definitely say that I will stick with the more roleplay aspect rather than focusing on guns and fights. I enjoy interacting with people, having conversations, jokes, sometimes altercations other than fighting for little to no reason.

If you come across an exploit in the future, what steps would you take?

If I was to come across an exploit again my main focus would be to get it fixed and not use it to my advantage. I would either make a ticket or bug report and explain the situation in detail, how I came across it and why.

What roleplay avenues do you intend to pursue if you're successful in returning?

I am very keen on policing, I already had a promising CID character and I was looking into progressing my more legal/under the radar character, which is Jake Rodrigues. I believe I played my police character more than my others because I found that more enjoyable and easier to interact with other people, so that would probably be where I would spend most of my time.
