Who said anything about finished? Season 5, like season 4, comes in 2 installments of 10 episodes. Air date is not announced yet of the second part of this season, but shouldn't be more than 6 months after last, looking at season 4. Last year the pause was April-November. Also, season 6 is already announced and it will involve the Rus, the Eastern European Vikings =).

You wrote ''who ends a series without a definitive finish''.. That pretty much made me think you assumed it was over and done with. The word definitive kinda has that meaning you know =P And if you really wonder as to why series have cliffhangers... isn't that self explanatory? If the story finishes at the end of each season people have nothing to look forward to, lose interest and forget to be hyped about the next episode or season.

@James Travers I noticed last year they were looking for extras, me and my mate were going to do it for a laugh. Looks great fun. Sadly I've shaved my heathen beard. @Khandamir If i wanted essays and literal points i'd of gone to google. Was a abstract statement about my enjoyment and annoyance of the show for ending how it did. It's also advertised as Season 6 or Season 5 part 2, i wouldn't look to deeply into what i wrote.
