This has happened to me a few times aswell, but I was not bothered, since it didn't happen often and luckily I wasn't in any RP or combat situation at that time. Sadly though I don't know a fix.

Nope, don't need it at all, you can play without it fine.

Join any other server before joining this server. (i personally always join koth and leave it and then join this and it works fine)

You don't need to get whitelisted to play as a civilian. But for Police, NHS, UNMC you do need to be whitelisted to play as them.

Have you never connected to any server through arma itself? Well you should try that, go to direct connect and type in the IP and the port and try connecting.

24 hours are nearly over, he hasn't contacted me and from my point of view, it seems that he is very much relying on other people to solve this situation for him but as you@Thesoldierbeing staff team, you choose what happens on from this point.

Why I didn't try to solve it with him is because he also didn't. Meaning that he was the one who broke a rule and he didn't even bother to do anything about it. I was waiting for a response for about 20 minutes but nothing happened. If he would've came and said his apologies or just why he done...
