I would focus more on what you get from panning in different areas, like fishing, so if you go to certain places you'll be more likely to find one item over another Like this beach is good for clams And this river is good for ores And this pond is good for xyz and so on

depends i work in retail irl and come to rpuk and run a cafe and manage 3 other businesses I find it enjoyable I'm perfectly fine with bringing things more in line with irl and what I would see as more RP stuff I just don't see issues with adding in things that you would have in the real world...
