Adding a Gif to the forum

So I tried adding a .gif to my media thread but it just doesn't want to work for some reason.
Adding the .gif by adding the link or "insert other media" works as it shows the .gif in the editor, but once posted it shows up as one of those images that don't work.

I'll show you what I mean by adding the gif here:

and here a screenshot how it looks for me in the editor (put an effect on it therwise it looked confusing):

I do infact know that it is posible to add a .gif as PMC have their forum post as a .gif.
Only difference is, is that that gif is so big it shows up in a thumbnail.

Is there away to correctlyaddmy .gif or is this actually a bug?

 
If you upload your gif to an external site such as imgur.com, then link it into the post using BBCode does it show up?

i think the file size is too big. There is a limit for page loading times I think.

Pmc's whole forum post is one big .gif, couldn't be the size

Edt: pretty sure it's the size yes, it's ay bigger than I thought. Thanks for the help haha
