New Developer

With our new developer Jaffa focusing on Game Development some more stuff is starting to come to fruition to start of with there has been a lot of back-end work including optimisations and security stuff. LSD has been disabled at the Multi drug processor to make it a bit less profitable and professions have been added for the High Grade drugs. A big part of our current focus has been optimisation and back-end work in this update and as such visible content is much less present, we hope to see an improvement in performance and security with this update.

Repairman Charlie

This update we have several additions, changes and fixes, on my front with me being busy IRL i have managed to get in a new additon in the form of a drug stash owned by Poseidon allows people to strike back at Poseidon in another fashion. There has also been some small price changes to diversify the jobs done and make thess paticular jobs slightly less lucrative. Jaffa has been focused on security, optimisation and improving the admin tools, alongside that he has changed earplugs to be able to be put in/out when performing actions. Science has another addition for ARAC with roadside garages, there is also the addition of the tracker upgrade allowing an individual to upgrade their vehicle with a tracker. MrKraken has overhauled several skins as well as some new addition for Police and Poseidon and finally TBJ has fixed a small issue related to going into a negative balance in the bank. Coming in next update we have some spooky stuff!

Squashing Biters

Yeah, we planned to do our Halloween update next, but it has come to our attention that certain individuals were doing naughty things in the Auction House, and we simply had to stop it as soon as we had a fix. I fixed it a couple of days ago (as soon as I heard about the problem first-hand), and it's been waiting in the pipeline while we prepared other features for Halloween... but needs must, and so to stop other people getting banned for giving into temptation, I've taken the executive decision to release this fix (and its associated other work that was in the pipeline at the time) out to our community today. Hopefully our Halloween update will be fairly soon after...

Ho Ho Ho!

'Tis the season to be jolly; tis the time for stealing lolly. Been a busy few weeks, and the dev-team have been struggling hard against a few real-life time-guzzlers, plus a joyful ARMA3 core update from Bohemia that put us right in the Christmas poo for a while, but we made it through!

There's a new look to central Kavala, and no doubt this will continue to change as our high street shopping needs evolve, but by far the biggest impact (pun intended) will come from the smallest alteration; look out for the new road priorities around the church! The police will no doubt be looking to fine offenders, whether it's Christmas or not!

Watch out also for the SAF crates... after years of absent-mindedly dropping their supply-crates with little or no respect for either location or gravity, they've started to feel the effects of all that attrition. Rumour has it that if you leave their crates alone, they'll simply pick them up later, silently... but if you mess with them, or worse, take their precious gear, all hell will break loose. But we've heard these threats from SAF before, and we think they're just a bunch of Christmas turkeys...

And of course, being Christmas, everyone is on the move, travelling to see friends and relatives in faraway places, and Altis is no exception. We've got shiny new buses, high-vis road-markings, and a new route to explore, into dangerous, uncharted parts of the East Side Poseidon lands. Hey, even drug cartel bosses need to visit their grannies too, at this time of year.

Just a little hotfix update to address an urgent Battleye fail, really. Came with a few other small things that were already in the lining of our Christmas stocking.

New Update Schedule

New year new update, this week we have a few changes with the Poseidon drug locations first off they are now permanent this means they will persist over restart, if left untouched after a week they will automatically reset themselves, Police can now shutdowns these locations too meaning people will not be able to access them for the rest of the restart and they will need to be replaced by Poseidon. The diamond factory and shop have also moved this is to move ti further away from the greenzones. Jaffa has also introduced various new anticheat methods as well as update some old ones. Finally we have the USS Storm Queen added currently this is just a location and serves no other purpose however if you have any ideas on what to do with the USS Storm Queen let us know in the suggestions form. 

We also have a new update schedule this will consist of main content patches fortnightly and any small patches or hotfixes in-between.

In this update we have a new feature the medical records which will house the treatment and injuries of individuals so medics can have a better medical record. Billboard Campaign 

We have several large changes fixed and additions in this update, some probably more controversial than others. The first of these important changes is that there is now a timer to prevent knocking out before the animation has finished playing. Secondly the decamp script has been strengthened preventing abuse of methods to stop it from being fired, weapons can also be holstered or unholstered while in a vehicle. There are several other changes the next major update will be in the week starting 18/02.

Snakebite

For this update we have various rebel related things firstly we have the new license coming in at a whopping 50 million and for that there will be various powerful perks (more to come) currently with the license you get access to a Hunter, a new randomly generated spawnpoint and a new way to get prestige. We have also changed the MK1 and DMS price slightly to encourage more close quarters combat during fighting. There was a slight delay on this release due to IRL issues, so we apologise for that. Finally the next content update will be in the week starting the 18th of March (hopefully).

Slingloading

With the end of a semester coming up many of the devs have been busy so we have only been able to squeeze a bit of time in. Jaffa is hauling the work this week with some noticeable backend changes and some fixes including to a perk we discovered was not working earlier in the week. Now the big change comes to slingloading vehicles, virtual items now add to the vehicles mass weight meaning the more weight you have on a vehicle the harder it is going to be to slingload, the main purpose of this change is to help us control runs and balance them as balancing them around a fly HEMMT made it significantly harder to do so, by maki g this change it will mean HEMMTs can still be slingloaded when not over the mass weight. The next content update will be 11/04/19.

Sorry for the slight delay on this update there was some rather large backend work that needed to be done as well as updates to our system there is lots of minor changes and fixes in this update and some slightly larger changes that required rather extensive testing.
