THIS IS FOR GPU NOT CPU

Please a meaningful discussion where you can either post source links or prove what your saying, nobody cares how much you love either company, and love doesn't drive fps.

I am making this post due to a discussion on another thread, but don't want to Hijack it.

Personally I have ALWAYS purchased Nvidia and have 4 Nvidia cards in my house atm, but I am thinking my next purchase will be AMD. So yes I can firmly state I am in the AMD camp atm.

*disclaimer I have almost always used AMD cpu's due to performance to price, but have also always gone Nvidia for GPU.

Utilizing Next Gen technology smarter, rather than relying on market power - This is the smartest move AMD could of made

Nvidia Vs AMD a little further down the Line - I am avoiding the Nvidia crippling its own cards argument if I can due to contention, but I have experienced this for myself as I only update drivers when needed so not so frequently, and the differences are astounding solid 50fps down to 25 no joke!!!

AMD Drivers improving your hardware over time - That are some impressive stats right there.

I reckon this is a pretty fair - and is a little old but you can look for more up to date ones if interested. But it perfectly explains the main reason I am feeling slightly dirty using Nvidia cards, reminds me of MS in the 80's and Intel in the 90's and 00's.

some input if i may - if not just ask and i shall remove

when building 2 builds - one for me and another for a friend we went over the old debate alot. our conclusions were for the price you pay for nvida/intel is not worth the performance boast you get with it.

now i am not saying this because we are fan boys. i am saying this after  what feels like weeks and weeks of research, review and benchmark graphs.. i can see 100 percent why people like nvida. there shadowplay element and driver programs are amazing. and i feel as if  amd needs alot of catch up to be on the same level. however, i am seeing alot from amd that is promising. the build i have is a amd 8 core processor and a amd 390x 8gb graphics card. it works welll together and i feel for the overall price and performance i am rather happy with system i built. i think in the future with re guarding amd. they need a driver program for games like nvida and work on the heat of there components. sorry for the long post. just my two cents x
