Backpack/Shoulder Bag allowing you to carry more items

Everyone knows how long of a process it is transporting materials from one place to another. I think adding a purpose for the bags would benefit a lot of people in the city and it would actually give a use for the bags.

I would agree massively on this one, so much time walking stuff from one side to the other hah, I would say though to maybe try and make it so it don't become the norm that everyone just has the bag glued to them forever, maybe make it like a bag that's a prop abit like the walking stick, so when you use the bag it will force you into a walk style, so if your going to use it and fill it so you can hold say 100 instead of the 50 as this would double your weight maybe you can only move at say 60% speed, or maybe it could burn through your food and water faster, it would defo need something to balance it out otherwise everyone would wear a bag all the time

Tho with having it as a prop maybe have it as a craftable so like hemp cloth, plastic and some other bits to make the bag

I see where this is coming from and can see a nice benefit from it. However, there are some bags that allow players to carry more of a certain item already.

More importantly, I think this would have the adverse effect of everyone walking around with backpacks to gain that extra space at all times. Making the whole server feel like a high school corridor.

If you can think of a good solution for this problem then I would agree with the suggestion but, for now, it’s a -1.

so not the part i mentioned about it locking you to a slow moving walk style when useing or it burning through your food/drink faster ?

or my favorite where i thought how about useing this prop emote like your useing one of these trollies, nobody is going to want you run about with one of these all the time

so use the Wheelie Bin, like its one of these stock trollies, because who wants to run around with a bin all day, plus you cant really drive with it

I was halfway through writing my reply to the initial post before having to leave. I came back and finished my reply and did not get the chance to see yours .

It's possible that giving the player a disadvantage could work but I’m not so keen on forcing people to slow walk all the time while they have a bag equip. You would need to balance the advantage and disadvantage, as you said. The disadvantage of slow walking could be altered to only affect the player if their bag is full or almost full?

In terms of prop a bin bag or carrier bag could be used and could realistically be crafted using plastic sheets a little like the drug baggies we currently have in the server?

These are just some ideas from the top of my head, there are probably some holes in the ideas I have mentioned but I hope it helps.

After having a little think about this maybe you could add an animation where you’re carrying a labours bag on your shoulder, with this feature you should only be able to power walk. I think having the option to not sprint would give it a balance and wouldn’t be getting an advantage from it. 

To implement this into the server you could maybe add like a clocking in system for mining and smelting so people would only be able to use this animation for the right purpose.
