Brief Summary:

Change vehicle handling files/metas to reflect their full potential as their real life counter parts
 

Detailed Suggestion:

Alter various handling and meta file attributes (not just speed) to better reflect vehicles real life counter parts, and use this to create balance. 
I.e. Muscle cars tend to be fast with poorer turning capabilities than their Sedan counterparts which are slower but more manoeuvrable. 
Introducing tuners when it becomes available (or having our own version) we can have races where everyone doesn't just have to be in the same car.

The Pros:

Variety of vehicles become more viable. 
Variety of vehicles become significantly more fun to drive. 
Variance and excitement in chases between different vehicles. I.e. catching people on the corners, heading them off up off of a straight line motorway etc. 

The Cons:

It's an incredible amount of work for potentially 1 member of the development team and they might want to commit themselves to an asylum. 
Various vehicles will become significantly worse. Including ones I own. 😛

Does this suggestion change balance on the server ?
Of course it does. 

 
(Just to add cause I've been interested in these types of changes for so long now)

Specialist tuning garages to go with this for certain class of cars which give various ways to modify performance. (JDM can't be modded at a Muscle Tune shop etc - PLAYER OWNED SPECILIST MECHANIC SHOPS?!) Variety in the modifications where handling could be improved further but comes at a disadvantage somewhere else (example; Small Turbo Upgrade for better acceleration or Big Boi Turbo for slower acceleration but higher Top Speed etc) All this would work insanely well if proper races were bought in so depending on if it's a track you know; you can go mod your car to fit that track to give yourself a bit of an advantage. 

 
If this was something that actually wanted to come apart I've got the next few days off work if someone gave me a list of cars on the server I could whip up a spreadsheet of vehicles with TS/Acceleration & track times or whatever info i can find, to help the dev team?
