John is my girlfriend's stepdad someone i considered a good friend, we had many good nights down the casino and always had a laugh, i took him on a very nice holiday in 2012 along with his wife and my girlfriend's mum and my girlfriend. Sadly John was diagnosed with Lung cancer in early 2013 and passed away 3 months later

Cancer is an awful thing and seeing someone die so tragically and the help Macmillan cancer (someone else who i will be donating and have donated to in the past) provided and the work Cancer research UK are doing into looking for cures needs a lot more awareness.

John was lad right until the end, shaking my hand the night before the day in March he passed away still with a very tight grip, Its a massive shame that someone can be killed off so harshly at such a young age (59)
