Good Afternoon @Chappie

Thank you for the clip. From the clip I can see that this is not a bug and that head armour is not gone forever. 

The head armour you had attached will still be connected to the first outfit you had on, when changing the outfits you would need to remove the head armour, change outfits and then attach the head armour again. 

On this occasion I will be declining this request as the armour will still be attached to that first outfit
