Please provide full detail and evidence: I placed a weapon inside my car at around 1:30pm, i then went to look for the weapon and it was not there, this weapon has now left my inventory and is no longer in the car. Wondering if this is possible to check the logs to see the item going into the car and then clearly not being in the car now? my person does not have this item and i did not lose it elsewhere, i have checked all vehicles and previously places that this weapon was being stored. I did not expect this to happen and therefore do not have a video or evidence.

Do you have any evidence of this happening? Without video of you putting the weapon in the trunk, and it dissapearing, there's not much I can do unfortunately.

Unfortunately I didn't think to take a video of myself putting an item in the car, plus if I did this there would be endless wasted storage on my PC as the chances of it disappearing are minimal

I placed the weapon in the vehicle and went back to it later in the day to find that it was no longer there. I stored the vehicle at the impound after placing the weapon inside, at the time I didn't know anything had gone missing because the weapon went into the car and then it was stored, I went back to the impound to collect the weapon and it was not there, I then proceeded to check all other cars, house and storage containers it was not in there either. I didn't think to record it as nothing was noticed missing until hours later. Plus I did not expect the item to go missing from the storage in the car so there was no need from my POV to get a clip.

I appreciate your response but I have no evidence so I will have to lose out on the pistol/bullets.

Without the evidence, then there's unfortunately nothing much I can do. Therefore, I'll be closing the compensation request. I would, however, suggest setting up some sort of way to record your game. This is both beneficial in compensation request and player reports.
