Drivers License Point Rework/QLC

After speaking to some people (both feds & crims) who have been on this server for a while, there is a reoccurring issue with the current system on how drivers license points work; currently points don't EVER expire causing people to have points from 2/3 years ago on their license.
I suggest that points should expire over time.
(im not going to suggest how quickly as that would be for the courts/police/devs to decide)

Factors what would extend how long the points would last for:
- Severity of the crime
- repeat offender
- dangerous & reckless driving
- to simply not wearing a helmet on a bike

This would have a positive affect on roleplay as it would allow for the points system to utilised more for rp purposes rather than an annoyance.

Why?
People who have lost their license have to wait a long period of time (a lot of people find it off putting to play)

Personally I feel this is more of a in RP suggestion for the courts and their policies than for the devs. My own view of the points system at the moment is that its too hard to get someone banned as the police requiring someone drive dangerously 7 times before losing their licence (assuming they don't commit any more offences) where as IRL once is a mandatory ban. Now I understand this is a game and there has to be balance but I have recently been working on a suggestion for the Judges to increase DL points. In relation to what you said about people having to wait a long time I believe off the top of my head the courts need someone to wait 3 weeks since their last driving offence to be considered to be unbanned and from my experience what makes most peoples unbans take so long is they keep driving and as such delays their chance to appeal.

7 times is not a lot when you take into account how many hours a person puts in their character. There's people that have been on the server for 5 years, their point never go away. I don't think DL points should be increased and I also think points should go away after a while. I understand you might have a very different viewpoint because of only playing 1 side (that being police, traffic even) but the points system is too unfair at the moment for criminals. I think, as said above, having points automatically get removed after 6 months is a good compromise.

I do not think the points should be increased. At all.
I wouldn't mind if they "expired" after a certain time, but I will say, if you have 15 points from 2021 and then you get the last 5 in 2025 and gets your licence banned. After 2 weeks you appeal it, and the Judge will take into account that the mayority of the points were from 2021, and your appeal will be easier.

I ain't had my license for around 2 years I've been to court once which was declined due to saying the wrong things to the judge but regaining the license is a grind in it's self especially if you main a crim as 9 times out of 10 your going to be arrested during the period of time it takes to keep a clean recorded for you to be able to have your solicitor to even consider taking the case to court.

I've tried playing other characters for 3 weeks, I've even stopped playing for a while & withing 10minutes of my return I was chased & arrested & that continued through-out a couple days.

+1
