Hello and some questions please?

Hello all, 

This is my first post here and I wanted to say thank you for the server. I have lurked here on and off for a little while but wanted to plant a root more firmly in your community, hence my post. Ive had a few days of playing with some mixed reactions on the server and I wanted to ask a few questions with regards to what I would like to accomplish here. 

Ive read the forums here extensively and I have met some pretty awesome people in the server who have already helped me out quite a bit and I feel like I would like to join one of the white listed roles to be able to contribute a bit more fully to the health of the server and the community. I can see that I have four slots for my characters but I only really wanted one or possibly two characters at most, purely so that i can stay "in character" much more easily. 

I would like to have one legal and one "illegal" character if possible, one of the two I would like to also have formally registered as a soilicitor/lawyer/attorney (whatever theyre called where you are from). I know this doesnt "officially" exist at the moment but I wondered if this might be in the pipeline in the future? 

NHS/Police/other city services - Pending successful application is one player allowed to hold multiple white listed roles? E.g last night I was playing and I saw there was quite a shortage of NHS staff (based on the chat), I realise this is a necessity for a healthy server but not everyone wants to be a medic. I have seen this issue in other servers also, everyone wants to be a plastic gangster but also nobody wants to revive all of the bad plastic gangsters. I feel like this could be something i could take a turn at one night a week but not be a "main" character sort of thing. Could I do this alongside being a PD officer for example? (on two chars i mean). 

In terms of getting to know the Lost MC/other outlaw gangs - is it just a case of get a bike and hang around the Clubhouse? 

TLDR: 

1. Lawyers? future plans? 

2. NHS/PD? Can i be both? 

3. Lost MC - Hang around clubhouse and polish some head gaskets?

Welcome aboard!

1. We have a lot planned, lawyers and a full legal system is one of those many plans! If you have any specific ideas let us know on the suggestion section of the forums.

2. Yes you can be both! With the new whitelisted job system we have written, means we now fully allow progression in both jobs at the same time on the same character, through a clock in and out system! Of course each job has their own internal policies within roleplay what you can do when off duty, eg they don't like you being a drug runner when off-duty etc. System is still in development but each update we add something new to it, and convert old functionality from the old system.

3. LostMC recruitment is like no other, it is purely within roleplay. Best thing you can do is head to the clubhouse and find someone to speak to about how they run things, ask for the rundown, offer to polish some head gaskets. They are a good bunch of guys and are always willing to help out new people!

Hope this helps a bit, also be sure to join our discord server @ https://discord.com/invite/roleplay the GTA chat on there is quite active and everyone is willing to help out where needed, best to remember though there are some things that we like to keep in roleplay such as specifics of how stuff works.

ive lurked in the discord for about 3 months so far. I dont tend to be involved in the chat because honestly, its a wall of text a lot of the time and i find that when i dont know people it gets a little bit overwhelming trying to keep up with the conversation/laugh at the jokes. I tend to stick to the "help" channels and the announcements pages and so on as i like to see where the server is going and what plans you have etc. 

In terms of "finding stuff out" honestly I much prefer to do that within the confines of the character. It helps me to make friends and share experiences more easily if i find it out naturally. Im not an OOC spammer but i like to have a bit of a "guide" for my first 5 minutes in the city. I have been fortunate that i bumped into some pretty sound people however who pointed me out so im more than happy with that. 

If i am going to enrol as NHS staff then id like to have another sideline to go along with it, strictly legal of course and something fun to do - boat tours, fishing, some sort of legal business. Ive got a few ideas on that score anyway. Ill pop by the suggestions thread then in a few minutes. whatever it is it will be completely separate from anything illegal. I dont like to "cross the streams" if you follow my meaning!  If I could/can be a cop/medic with one char then that would be cool but i dont want to spread myself too thinly as i dont know how much time ill be playing currently and i dont want to sign up for the world and achieve naff all. 

My motivation for going straight to the LOST MC is honestly to find out where the best RP is. Whether that is with them as a patched member or just as an associate i figured people who make the grade must be good at their craft so id like to learn from them and see where that takes me. 

In my head i think Gov (police/nhs/etc) institutions usually provide the best legal RP and the outlaw gangs (bikers etc) provide the best illegal RP - or attract the best RPers at least. I just want to see if I can gel with those kinds of people really.
