House keys are gone?

So a long time ago ( approx 2 years ) I owned 2 houses in Kavala but now I have no keys for any house, just wondering do the house keys be taken away from you after a certain amount of inactivity or if you are banned?

Under the old system all houses would expire after a couple of months of inactivity (believe it was 6 months?). This was done so that we still had houses available, otherwise everything would've been bought!

Under the new housing system you have to pay rent every X days to keep the house, this is all done via the housing interaction menu
