The housing situation to me is very unrealistic having some houses cost 3 times as much and offer less storage for example all the houses in grapeseed.
I believe houses should be valued on location and storage space. Currently, you can find houses with 7.5k storage and cost less than 100k in the city but houses that cost 390k and have 5k storage.
I think all current houses should be alone so it doesn't drastically affect someone's wealth but all unowned houses to be put into a new system. This new system should have prices valued at a higher price overall (money sink) and allow the owner to then list their house through a real estate agent rather than get scammed by selling it from the door for a huge loss.
So in summary: Change the whole housing market to be more realistic.
