Currently the way volume is calculated on soundsystems isn't very good imo. It's 100% at the center and then tapers off all the way to the edge of the zone where it finishes, meaning that unless you're stood directly in the middle of the zone you're never hearing it at the 'intended' volume, and people stood only a few paces from each other can have completely different volumes by the time 3rd person camera locations are taken into account.
Currently the volume works a bit like this:

My suggestion is to have it work more like this:

So within say 50% of the radius from the middle of the zone volume would be 100% and then taper off from there to the edge to give a wider area of even (full) volume.
