Is there a Time Limit while being Wanted ?

I´m wondering how the Wanted System works.

Example: If I rob a Gas Station, is there a Time Limit till im no more Wanted or is it Permanent.

Till you die, gets arrested or is pardoned by an officer

And the clarify the part of "dying" from the post above it must be in a when you get killed by a person. So you can't kill yourself to get rid if your bounty.

As mentioned by Crazyone, your crimes will stay until you either; Die, put into jail, get fined or manually deleted by an officer.
