There have been multiple occurrences of police (and G6) officers entering the report id as sentence length and vice versa.

My suggestion would be to alert the user whenever they enter a value greater than 720, preferably through a pop-up or visual form validation (example).

A double check on this would be a great advantage to the general server population. Reports are now in the thirteen thousands meaning prisoners who get locked up for 100 months have in some cases been sentenced to over 13000 months. This cannot always be resolved as only high ranking police or G6 can change this and they can't always be around for obvious reasons. 

This would be a huge quality of life improvement plus leads to less rage quits because when prisoners find out they usually either come running to standard G6 who can't really help or they log off in a range and dont' log on for a few days or even weeks in some cases.

I've heard a few people that have been put in for the wrong reason, or even for the wrong ID. A simple check to make sure the officer knows who theyre arresting and for how long would be perfect really.
