Technically this could possibly be the case in real life and it someone was tazed mid air of a freefall they would survive as their body would go limp lessening the impact they have on the ground. Pretty sure that is how it works, because if you pass out whilst freefalling from a 12,000m skydive if you don't pull your parachute (Because your unconscious) Your chances of surviving are much much greater then if you were awake and didn't pull the chute.

 But of course they wouldn't float in the air like a holy spirit XD
