Hi got a weird one, looking for a monitor 24" 1080p with gorilla glass or such like.

Anybody ever heard of a product along those lines ? I'm pretty stumped. (needs to be relatively light and mobile)

Maybe looking into touch screen monitors will find what you need? I would not be surprised if they provide such a piece of technology in order to support heavy fingers.

That is a weird one... but now I need to know... why? xD

Edit: Closest thing I can find is touch screen laptops due to be released with it... nothing out atm as far as I can tell. Maybe go to manufacturers and request it as a potential future line... as long as there is some good reasoning behind it xD

Somebody who is going to be mobile alot, looking to build a mini ITX system with 24" monitor with carry case.

Yeah had a look at these, not quite ideal, as it needs to be light enough to be mobile :) many thanks for looking though it is appreciated.

Yeah nothing about as far as I'm aware that's gonna be portable enough... could do it custom if it's that important, otherwise I'd be looking at alternatives xD

What do you mean by carry case?

If you're looking at keeping the monitor in a peli case or similar then there really isn't a need for a toughened display, I've been travelling offshore for a few years having delicate equipment, significantly more delicate than a standard monitor, all in peli cases being thrown around by baggage handlers etc only even had damage to the cases, never to anything inside.

If it is something you'll be carrying around in your own car then I wouldn't bother with anything other than keeping the original box...

But something like the Roccat Tusko

or if a 22" is acceptable

If you're looking for something indestructible then look a video production flight cases, they're expensive but as with anything you get what you pay for.

I know its sacrilege to suggest such an absurd thing but... Is this not why laptops were formed?
Quite true, but as we all know laptops were not designed for gaming or upgradability, at least with a micro atx you can keep a relatively normal upgrade cycle.

Thanks for the feedback :) I was initially looking at the Roccat Tusko, but wanted something a little tougher inside just incase it got knocked about as warranty wouldn't go near it with a barge pole.
It was always an option to build the monitor into a flight case, but wanted to keep it looking like a standard desktop as per end user preference. Personally If it were for me, I would hinge some rack rails and pack 3 monitors into a flight case :D just slide em out when needed :)

As per normal though it looks like this build may not be happening now :/
I wouldn't quite call it a waste of time as I have got some valuable input from you guys for future reference thank you very much, but in this case yeah :/ will see what happens .....
