Make Kavala a Safezone (Closed - Outcome: No)

Should the whole of Kavala be a safe/greenzone

No, main reason is it's the place 8/10 new players spawn and 7 of them 8 will not read the rules. We will see some change from the players who have been on for a while but in the end, it really want change all that much. 

How about making so only X amount of people can spawn there per hour or so, forcing people to spawn in other locations. Spreading out the civs across the map. I really think this will help kavala. The new players will have to spend the time to figure out what's going on and what they need to do instead of following the bad sheep.

No first of all admins will be banning everyone. Second of all, the roleplay in kavala is fun. Yes it is trolley but got damn some of those trolls are fun to have fun with.

 
Yes.  On a trial basis.  With Kavala being a green zone and no illegal activities in it, no one would have a reason to resort to shooting or robbing.  Now some will argue that then its no fun, but I will say they are wrong.  Without the fear of violence and legal reasons (selling fruit, cider, etc.) to be in town will increase the amount of RP.  This also creates a safe haven for new beginners where they can earn some start up money to get them going in the world.

There are also speed fines and parking illegally coming up :) (Car park coming soon!)

 
I voted no.

Kavala is the hub of Altis, it's such a fantastic place to go, the weird, the beautiful, the damn right tosspots. You can guarantee every time you go there something is going to happen, it's not always bad - I recall groups of rebels putting their weapons away, going prone on the basket ball field and just watching hobos steal backpacks.

We've had some fantastic role play there, hostage ops, sacrifices to the gods in Kavala castle & lunatics with a death wish considering jumping off a roof.

I've had some of the best times of my life in Kavala, it's not always with guns despite popular belief.

Instead of doing this, raise the rebel license price, way too cheap at the moment to get automatic weapons.

That's true, but I've seen it on a server before, but wasn't as big as ALUK. I'm just saying this topic is like marmite, you will get what I mean. 

I'm all for the RP, but I don't want to be in kavala and some hobo is chasing me and I can't do anything to stop this guy.

Isn't everything here like Maramite ?

Its like a balancing act, yes not everyone agrees with what I do and I try to ask the community on most things but we wouldn't be here at this level today if we didn't take risks :)

 
Yes.

Just ONE place where you can RP and buy stuff without expecting a gun in your face would be great.

 
No. Makes RP harder, you can't do anything at the drug dealer, simply no as it will destroy a lot of roleplay.

The one problem I have with that wilco is that police are still able to taze and rubber bullet you. If they start popping off shots at me and I shoot back would I be breaking server rules by doing so?

 
Idk. To Athira or Paros? You can station more cops there now that they have reserved slots. The risk you want wont be gone.

Alternative: Don't make the part of Kavala over that bridge (near the drugdealer a greenzone so that you keep your danger there but not in the rest of the city.

I hope you know which bridges I am talking about.

There's no constabulary in Paros. Athira has to deal with a large area, weed field, LSD, prison breaks.. might be hard for them if there will be a drugdealer.

I used to run, but 7/10 times I would get caught, the cops would send my Hemmit Box to the crusher and I would go to jail... So after I joined a gang (SOF) I started using the gun more, turned out to be easier than actually run.

 
I voted no, simply because it would be an really unfair advantage towards us rebels who sell drugs or gold. However I would love having the inner city a safezone! (Garage, RBA Bank, DVLA, Car shop, casino and market) That way the gold buyer and drug dealer will not be in the safezone and inner parts of kavala will a safezone.

 
Kavala may be a hell hole, but its our hell hole, lets keep it that way I vote no.

Simply because Kavala being so dangerous is what makes it fun, yes its loaded with trolls there, but you'll get trolls there greenzone or not. The other option is being trolled with no retaliation possible, no thanks, leave Kavala as it is and strengthen the Police presence.

Kavala is and will always be my hell hole, i love it as it is.

(And then i can't sing "i'm on a highway to hell" while driving to kavala)
