In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

Combatlog while waiting for medic / not fully death.

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

I started a new apprenticeship and still working as an application developer. I have reduced gaming (lately played a bit CS:GO and Rust) and gone more into development with my private projects.

Why do you want to return ?

I'm still interested in roleplay and I'm quiting my music hobby. So I thought about maybe starting YouTube and go more into gaming (and the same time still development on my private projects). I'm really interested to start playing on your Rust server, but I would like to be fully unbanned from the community, so that I know that I can return here and maybe after the summer start with Arma RP again

Why should we unban you ?

I was banned now since a really long time. I miss the community and waited ever since to write another appeal and maybe again join the community. I know that my case of the ban (with the VM crash as in the previous thread explained) is maybe a bit complicated. But it was something I wanted to try out and wasn't such a good idea. I can definitely tell that it will not happen again (since the crash was an accident and I now know the risk of it while playing on a server).

Please confirm this unban request is for you.

I looked back at your old appeal and that is possible the most convoluted reasoning for having multiple accounts that I've ever seen. Were you actually being honest with him? It's been a year now so being honest with me now is a chance to start on a fresh slate, doing anything else but telling the truth would be a good way to ensure you definitely never return.

On this very old appeal Wilco seemed.... unconvinced by your story so if you intend on sticking to it you will need to give as many details as you can so we can confirm it.

If the combat log was seriously because your VM crashed, why were you trying to transfer gear between accounts? They are different accounts for a reason and contacting staff beforehand would probably have made this a lot easier instead of you being banned for getting on for 2 years.

Anything else you can add detail-wise would probably make this a lot easier for you.

It is a long time ago, so I don't exactly remember as much of the whole process with the VM crash, but I will try to explain it as detailed as possible.

I have two Steam accounts.
`Account 1` is my primary account (steamID64 76561198143634987).
`Account 2` is the account I started with playing on this Server and which I used before switching to the new one (steamID64 76561198053244148).
A small note, but has nothing to do with the ban: Account 2 was hacked after the ban on the server, but I didn't managed to recover it yet. But I was able to lock it until Steam support helps me with proving the ownership.

I wanted to give Account 2 to my cousin and I only wanted to play on the same account as all my other games (Account 1). I wanted to do this myself so I didn't thought about asking an administrator about it.
I went with my Account 1 to a location (I think I have owned a house with it and gone there).
Then I started / unpaused my VM (running on Hyper-V) and logged into Steam / Arma with Account 2. I spawned at the airport and took a chopper out of the garage and wanted to fly to the location of Account 1 to load items into the house and transfer money (I think to that time it was only possible to transfer money between two online accounts).
I landed with Account 2 on a building and got out and the chopper. My character fell down from the building and died (I think the chopper exploded too, but I'm not sure).
While in the death-screen / waiting for medic I wanted to tab out of the VM window at which point it crashed / froze.
I think it was me using [Alt] +
and it forwarded the key combination to the VM and tabbed out of the game window instead the VM window which may caused the crash.

But it is nearly 2 years since and I don't remember each detail. But I hope this details help you in this case.
In case if you are wondering, I sadly don't have any logs from Hyper-V (if they even have) because I re-installed my OS multiple times since and I'm now using a separate computer to run my VMs (not for gaming, only for servers) on KVM.

Please tell me if something is unclear or needs a better explanation.

//edit:
I thought I tell you about the hacked & Arma 2 ban on my second account (Account 2).
In the early times I was playing allot of DayZ (modification). I think that my login credentials (also for email etc.) was stolen by accidentally installing a Trojan on my computer which I got from downloading a mod installer. A few days later my Arma 2 account was banned globally by Battleeye due to hacking. I bought Arma 2 on another Steam account (Account 1) and didn't continued to play on my Account 2. I already had Arma 3 on Account 2 so I mostly played it with that account until I bought Arma 3 on Account 1 (around that time the ban on this server happened). Since I never used account 2 and last time I wanted to log in, my credentials (e-mail & password) where changed (tough that is also already around a year ago). I managed to block the account over the Steam support and I'm currently trying to prove its ownership.

Could you provide some details of the conversation with steam support. If I can see that, I think I'll be more convinced. You are welcome to blank out some identifying details like your email address etc. but as much detail from that front as possible would help to validate your claim.

Interestingly we have no response... I wonder if that is telling of something. Appeal again with this information I've asked for if you believe you should be unbanned.

Denied.
