Just something I was thinking of whilst being Taxi for the 90s Bahamamamas event last night.
Syncing the day night cycle with GMT would bring yet another level of realism to the city.
It would make organized events such as car meets, parties or nightclub events much more immersive as the shift to daylight is pretty jarring and may give the impression the night and maybe subconsciously, the event is coming to an end.
The only con I think of is if people can only make it into the city on the night time they won't see any daylight, but again, I think this will add a much more realistic atmosphere.
Thoughts!
