In my defense, I was going through a breakdown.

I have worked my arse off to be the person you see in front of you today.

I regret the mistakes of my past,

However I vow to make everyone (including myself) proud of my future achievements.

Seems legit. If you ever want to drown someone again, get some hobos in a car and equipment a rebreather, then proceed to drive off of the pier. This is one of the UNMC advanced interrogation techniques.
