What best describes this incident: G1.2 RDM
Please (in detail) describe the incident: I was on patrol with Ffrench, responding to a Pharmacy robbery perpetrated by Duncan Andris.

We chased Duncan from Alta St Pharmacy down past Cutlass Arcade toward Bobcat.

At this point, our car is rammed by a Grove St Desert Raid; after some initial confusion, myself and Ffrench are downed by Grove fire, chucked into cars and taken to a Dodgy Doctor.

I am aware there was an incident earlier in the night with Grove and police, which happened hours prior.

Not a word was said to us by Grove before ramming and shooting at us; in my view, this is a clear cut case of RDM and I expected far higher standards from a WL group.

I invited them to QE to discuss where I waited approximately 20 minutes, unfortunately, they were still in RP and couldn't attend and due to the hour I didn't want to wait around; nor do I think anything they say could change my mind to report this incident.

ok this could have started better... But there was valid RP reasons behind our actions and this video does not show the High quality RP that we provided after this. We did not exspect you to decamp and I even stopped and tried to not run you over. Its only when you decamped with guns out that I pulled my gun out in defense. Ouur intentions was quite clear when we tried to pull up on you and unfortunatly it turned into a shoot out. We then provided what i though was some fun RP and was not aware that you was upset. In all yes it could have started better but it certianly is not RDM. Cops had taken multiple Grove to prison and we wanted to claim our shit back. This was the inital reason for coming for you. I hope that you can understand this and am a little upset that you didnt reach out so we could talk about this before a report went up. If you wish to talk about this further i am more than happy to have a chat.

I disagree with most of what you said.

Firstly, valid RP reasons for doing it is fine, but that doesn't exonerate you from the requirements of G1.2 where it states "please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering violence." I had literally 0 roleplay from any Grove member prior to being rammed, run over and then shot, not a single word. It's quite literally the worst experience I've had so far on the server and I think saying "this could've started better" is a massive understatement.

In terms of the RP afterwards, I roleplayed a neck wound solidly for 15 minutes, the closest I got was the first driver grabbing a rag and holding it to my throat, I was dumped out at a dodgy doctor, had someone do /mechanic3 and then I was put into a boot. I understand from Ffrench, that he had a good time with the RP afterwards, but unfortunately my experience was just absolutely ridiculous.

I did reach out beforehand and waited in QE for around 20 minutes but your RP was ongoing and I do have other things to do; I also think the quality of roleplay provided to me before this incident was of such a poor standard that anything that could've been said to me wouldn't have made a significant difference.
 
The only reason we shot is because you decamped and had guns out while running. We precieved this as a threat. If we wanted to shoot you we would have done it out of cars. We engaged in a chase and I managed to spin you out and before we could talk your guy jumped out and i hit him with my car, Not my intention. Then you went around the corner and decamped again with guns out. So what do you want us to do at that point run up to you so you can shoot us?> Your point about poor RP is a shame as everyone else at that situation enjoyed it. To say it was poor is just not fair. We cannot give 6 people every bit of attention all the time. I still do not think this was RDM as not guns would have been shot if you didnt have your guns out in the first place. After getting spun and run over we let you get back in the car and was going to chase you. So you getting out of the car and running was just not what we exspected. My point stands the RP provided tonight was good and people enjoyed it if you didnt well thats just unfortunate as we wanted everyone envolved to have some fun with it.
 
Also jumping stright into OOC after being downed is not good, People get told off for this all the time. Let things play out then call people to QE. + i am sure you bleed out at dodgy and missed some fun RP.
 
We also let all the police live and let them go. We have full intentions to carry this RP on and think it will be fun. Shame it came to this report tbh.
 
I think our definition of fun RP fundamentally differs here.

I understand what you're saying but do not believe quality RP was provided before engaging us.

If you're confident the RP you provided was up to standard then I'll leave it to another staff member to arbitrate from here.

You showed a clip of 8 mins from a situation that lasted over 1 hour and previous to this hours before. There is more context to this. Due to the amount of time at this situation i do not have full session recording. I will leave it to staff and would also like the other guy with you to comment as the RP provided to him i believe was high quality.
 
Also at 4mins 10seconds in your clip you can quite clearly see you aim your gun at Grove cars. Then you decamp with AR in hand. This is not RDM as we saw a clear threat towards us.
 
This POV is from Leyton. In this clip you can see that at 00:12 seconds you see the gun being pointed at Leyton from the officer in the drivers seat. He then tries to RP with them by saying excuse me and tries to ask for insurance details you then hear Josh say hes aiming a gun and then followed by me shooting on that information. At this point I have no idea why they decided to get out of the car and run as this seems like a strange option to do considering they are in a fast car. We had made no attempt to run them over and was letting them back into the car so we could chase. At no point have we drawn guuns before them and as this report is about RDM I do not consider this RDM in anyway! The roleplay provided after this incident at dodgy and beyond was of high quality and the police involved I believe would agree if they commented. Below is the link to the above.

Okay, this will be my last reply on the matter and it's to clear up some factual inaccuracies you've repeated.

Firstly, you’ve hinged a lot on the fact that we pulled guns first and you took that as a threat.

The attached screenshot is from 1 second into the clip you provide by Leyton Lean. As you can see, the male has a gun in his hand. You pulled up, guns drawn, ready to "claim your shit back". In my opinion, this whole situation was not about you wanting to provide a quality RP situation. It was about you (Grove) wanting to get guns back.

You've also stated I pointed my pistol when drawn at a Grove car.

Please indicate to me where in my POV I point a pistol at a Grove car.

I pulled my pistol as I'd be rammed after having guns pulled on me. I aimed to ensure I wasn't going to suffer from the TPV bug, I did not aim at any specific vehicle.

Finally, the RP provided *after* is not only completely irrelevant to the report as the onus is on you to provide quality RP before attacking; but in my view, sub par.

I can't speak for the other officers and I'm genuinely glad you had a good RP experience with them.

I've since had a great RP situation with Grove after I Roleplayed being in a coma after taking a round to the ear. During that I even explicitly used /me's to inform the members there that I was still alive at the Dodgy to reward their efforts.

But again, this is irrelevant. The matter stands that the reported incident, in my opinion, was complete RDM. I did not have a single word said to me (that I could hear) before I had a Desert Raid slam into my police car and I was gunned down.

Ok You say you was making sure your gun was not bugged but you aimed your gun at us. How was we going to know that was your intention. We was not here to have a gun fight we was here to continue the ongoing storyline with police. We only shot once guns was seen and in our opinion drawn at us. I get your side but you have to see how that looked to us?

I get that we had guns drawn at the point of pulling up as our intentions was clear to which you quite rightly speed off. I gave youu a light spin and tried to talk to you as well as Leyton as you can clearly hear in his clip. If you did not hear this then it is a shame but all efforts was made to converse with you and if you didnt jump out the car and try fight us on foot we could have had a chase and continued to try and negotiate / RP but this was cuut short. I feel that we will not agree on this but I do not believe that this was RDM as there is valid RP behind our decition and we tried to speak to you and we was going to let you have a chase as we let the other officer get back into the car before you decamped. I will let another staff decide on this as that is really all I can say. I am sorry that you did not have fun in this as every situation we do we try and make it fun for all as you have seen with the situation we had recently.
 
There are a lot of ifs and buts going on in this report. There is also a lot of assumptions being made of each others intentions.

Off the bat, I'll be honest, The RP exhibited by Grove in the provided clips is less than ideal, and not what I would consider enough to be deemed an appropriate escalation to violence.

On the counter balance to that, Rob did in fact pull a pistol, to check for a bug, that could've been misconstrued at the time, as having a firearm aimed towards the people involved.

It has been stated by both parties that the other officer involved was indeed provided with quality RP after the fact.

Outcome

This is going to be a contested decision I'm sure. But I will approve this report. However the outcome will be a little different to what players are used to.

Grove, this isn't the first time in recent months, that you have exhibited violent behaviour with little to no RP to re-establish an ongoing situation.


Until 30/07/2025, if members of Grove, whilst acting within a gang capacity, escalate to violence, without sufficient roleplay being provided, all players involved in that situation will be given a double hit on the FBS. Meaning that you will find your way to a permanent ban, much more efficiently.

Ramsay, you are the current leader of Grove and already on thin ice, due to your unban conditions. Take your unban conditions into account, and drill this point home with your members, top to bottom. Violence without context, is unacceptable. Any further issues from yourself and you will be placed on a permanent ban with a 6 month cooldown.
