What best describes this incident: (G1.2) Random Death Match (RDM)
Please (in detail) describe the incident: We were on a lengthy pursuit with no words exchanged, or that I knew of. We eventually went towards red garage where we climbed 1 story and the person in question got out of the vehicle and shot us both with then the rest of TFA engaging in a TFA v Police.

I would like to share my perspective as an involved party regarding the QE session, where both parties were present and rules G1.2 and G1.12 were discussed.
The person who was reported stated that they thought they were going to be arrested and that they had "no other choice" but to open fire. This, in my opinion, is not a good enough reason to use deadly force. Given that the officers were obviously at a disadvantage inside their vehicle, there were a number of other options that could have been pursued, including continuing the vehicle pursuit, starting a foot chase, or even briefly holding the officers at gunpoint as they were clearly at a disadvantage. But such restraint was not exercised, and the situation unnecessarily escalated. Additionally, The accused party's behaviour during QE also left me feeling unsatisfied. Each person insisted that they had not fired first and had only imitated the behaviour of others in their group, suggesting a total lack of accountability.

  1. Hello,I would firstly like to start by saying I'm apologetic that you feel the interaction was cut short, it was never an intention to make you leave the situation feeling that way. As individuals and a group we enjoy having hostile interactions from time to time but always stay within the rules when doing so. With the report at hand, I do recognise where you feel hard done by as it potentially could have gone alternative routes, however, I do have to disagree on it being considered RDM. There wasn't anything random about the shooting, I had been pursued in excess of 15 minutes and had reached a point in the chase where I didn't feel out running you guys was viable any longer, concerned about the car breaking down and additional units getting involved I made a decision to aim for Big Red carpark in an attempt to either fight or flee from you on foot. I'll continue to address this but based on G2.12 opposed too G1.2 as I disagree on it being random, however I do agree that there was potentially opportunity for additional roleplay and as above, I'm apologetic that you feel it was cut short. In my mind at the time I shot, I didn't see or feel there was any other options that would result in an escape so I resorted to opening fire. Now, while I understand that sometimes, its worth just accepting fate and going with the flow, in this particular situation I was prepared to go above and beyond in an attempt to escape, the reason for this was as a banned driver I'd be looking at considerably worse punishments for being caught so as a criminal I was ready to go to lengths to achieve this.I also felt at the time that due to tactical contact being made between your vehicle and mine, that things had at that point naturally escalated. As we know, there is no initiation on the server nor any specific lines or words that MUST be said, which allows for more dynamic RP situations. Now I do apologise again for you feeling it was cut short, but you guys did clearly have a strong idea of what was happening when I took too Big Red Carpark. It was mentioned by you guys about being prepared for an ambush.I do feel if you hadn't of followed up so closely and pulled up so close at the end, that I'd of had more options to go with. I didn't think you'd drive straight up to me in a location that's renowned for ambushes / holds and escapes, I thought you'd keep a slight distance. My assumption was wrong and I should of been prepared for it but it caught me off guard so to speak. It was a split moments decision to begin shooting at you, it hadn't been well planned or thought through prior, it was an unexpected chase with a impulsive ending, however, due to the contact made between vehicles, history as a criminal and the location of choice, I personally think all of the above should of been taken in to consideration when pursuing me into the carpark. I do feel more caution on your behalf at that point would of also made it more interesting , but all this is mentioned in hindsight of how it ended.I would also like to add, while I did shoot you and at others, we wasn't on a mission to win the entirety of the situation, I just wanted to escape that pursuit. To further support this point I'd like to add how we purposely left the unarmed police officer alone who was on the ground floor of big red so he could help you guys afterwards. If myself or our group had a strong win mentality we would of cleaned up the last officer and made sure no one remembered the situation, but, in my mind and the mind of other TFA members, that just isn't fun in the slightest for the other side.

    It was a late night situation and perhaps patience was low, however, I'd like to take this last paragraph as an opportunity to apologise for a negative ending to the evening. I'd be more than happy to attend a voice chat with yourself and one of my group leads to discuss other options and ideas for the future, I personally feel more can come from that than a report, however I respect your choice to decline if you do so. We thoroughly enjoy RP with the police and the various situations we get in with you and wouldn't want that too change.

If you feel that a liaison with a group lead and yourself would possibly offer a solution if up for that

@Anthony_J @big mick

As normal, a liason is preferred BEFORE a report is posted. Not during. So, i will be dealing with this as no update has been made since saturday.

So, from the video provided its almost a 5 minute police chase led back to a location where the police on radio actually say "be careful this could be an ambush" you proceed and are shot.

I don't like the fact that NOTHING is said before shooting i wont lie. However, due to the chase being so long, the amount of units involved and deployed for this 1 vehicle and the caution that was ignored on radio just before. I will be giving a warning to Jake Brown which will be noted.

He has no other bans or noted for over a year, so a warning will be issued.
