Your Character Name: Steve Martin
Reported Players: __saiint__ and other officers at the scene.

What best describes this incident: (G2.12) Poor Quality Roleplay, (G2.4) Value of Life, (G1.7) Community Leaders
Please (in detail) describe the incident: One of The Martins was arrested after an altercation with G6. We made the decision to attempt to get him out by doing a hostage negotiation at MRPD.

We set out to get some hostages. We kidnapped a civilian from near bins, we attempted to kidnap another at civ impound (he straight up combat logged as seen in clip) then we started to look for a second to give us a better chance of getting said member out. We arrived to MRPD and we seen a further person we thought we would use as a hostage as we planned to do the exchange at MRPD, we planned to do this at MRPD because an officer called a member of The Martins to advise the member we were looking to break out was being held there.

We prepare the hostages to begin negotiations, the officers ask us to not put the hostages in the car (which makes me think they never even gave them self a chance to find out what was actually happening) we complied. They then asked us to lower the guns, to which we did.

40 seconds into the situation, we are flash banged, gunned down and stuck in cuffs. 0 RP, 0 enjoyment for either party.

(G2.12) Poor Quality Roleplay - You must provide quality roleplay at all times taking into account every players direct and indirect experience. This situation was not enjoyable for either side. 0 attempt to negotiate with us, 0 attempt to even make an effort to see what was going on.

We discussed this in QE and Saint refused to take any accountability for this. He advised us that due to us being heavily out numbered and at MRPD this was ok, and it was out fault, and he seen no issue.

The Martin's have been under heavy investigation from the police, including car scrapping's, raids and heavy warrants. We have not complained once as we agree this is part of Criminal Roleplay. When we attempt to roleplay as criminals in these situations, the police show no interest and react this way, making it extremely difficult to enjoy criminal RP.

(G2.4) Value of Life - We had 2 hostages and 6 men with weapons, the police refused to value the hostages life.

Edit - (G1.7) Community Leaders - Players who are business owners, organisation leaders or high ranking police officers/NHS personnel. These players should be a leading source of quality story lines and consistently strong roleplayers. Thus will be held to a higher standard under our rules and guidelines. If you wish to become a community leader, you should consistently create roleplay scenarios of a high standard for yourself and others. - Saint being a community leader should be providing higher quality roleplay.

During this situation I myself provided poor medical RP, which I do understand is against the same rule, I will face appropriate punishment for this if required.

Hello there's not a great deal to say here apart from the following;

As explained in QE I threw the flashbang. We responded to panics outside the police station from officers saying you were waving guns around at hostages. When I arrived outside you were severely outnumbered with officers yelling commands at you. For context we had all just come off a large scale operation hence the mammoth response.

We knew that you guys wouldn't come in quietly, your group has been very active recently and in line with the Wanted level rule we can adjust our tactics. We didnt want to shoot you without a larger display of violence. We had the options there, but decided to go a different route in an attempt to prolong the situation with you/to bring you in alive. You all then huddled together. I ran it over radio that we could flash you - as we knew once flashed we had a good chance at bringing you all in without casualty. We took the opportunity of you being huddled together to do this.

Unfortunately after you were all flashed you decided not to surrender and to start waving your guns around again and shooting at police, despite being severely outnumbered, outgunned, and at an obvious disadvantage with the knowledge that we would now shoot you - which is when police returned fire.

Police follow an ATM (Ask, Tell, Make) procedure - This was followed. You had ample time to run away in between commands being issued and the flashbang being thrown yet decided not to despite visibly seeing you wouldnt be able to fight your way out.

I'm going to be very real with you, you literally dictated our tactics with your own actions. You stood out in the open, all together, in front of a visibly fully manned police station whilst severely outnumbered. You didnt leave when you had every opportunity to change your minds and run/lead us on a pursuit. We were not going to shoot you, until you decided to raised your guns and start going at us. The situation was short, sure - there was ways it could have been elongated (custody RP, running away to take a pursuit when you saw the pure volume of us) however RP is fluid, situations arent on a timer and the timing you've quoted isn't quite accurate there is it.

Police are not NPCs, every situation is handled differently and the opportunity to strike on you in this instance was too great to ignore. This was a key opportunity for us to try and deal with the situation without shots being fired. You've mentioned about afterwards also, where you were all complaining/talking etc (not acting your injuries) as we were taking you into the car park however decided to all /me no pulse us and the medics when we attempted to give medical RP which I personally thought was out of order for the medics who'd come all the way to engage in our RP situation.

There were many ways you could have gone about this which would have lead to your escape/demands being met, but your plan fell short and we took advantage of that within RP.

At this time I have nothing else to say on the matter

I think this is a poor attempt to defend your shocking roleplay. Regardless of your tactics, you provided 0 RP to a situation we created and prepared for under short notice. A situation that we ensured would be enjoyable for your self's.

Our "plan fell short" as you prematurely concluded it before it even got going. You refused to let this situation play out, we were fully prepared for consequences after this, we complied with your demands to be met with a flashbang 40 seconds (edit - 1min 10 seconds) into the scenario, which to me is not good roleplay. Your logic makes 0 sense, end of the day this is a roleplay server where roleplay is supposed to be the priority, yet you are a community leader who shuts down situations as and when it suits you. Then you take 0 accountability in QE.

At this stage its one rule for police and another for criminals. Its got to the point now where we feel we cant even have these types of RP with police which makes things difficult for us as a crime family.

There were many ways you could have gone about this which would have lead to a more enjoyable RP experience for both sides, engage in negotiations, dig for further evidence to support your ongoing investigations, give us a counter offer, even letting the situation play out then shooting us would have been a more enjoyable experience. Maybe try to talk more before you throw flashbangs and shoot. Instead of talking about the way we planned to do this, why don't you accept that your quality of RP is and has been shocking.

My RP is a separate thing which I'm always happy to discuss in QE, and I never fail to take it on the chin and admit I could of done better, and as much as we both have the same rules to abide by, you are a community leader and you should be taking better control of these situations, make a genuine attempt to make it a good experience for both parties. This is not the first time i have questioned your style of policing. Fair enough you play an aggressive character but this doesn't excuse shutting down a RP scenario for 20-30 people could have enjoyed.

Apologies for my timing, I was wrong. It was not 40 seconds it was closer to 1min 10sec.
