However we saw people at Urinam, The offroad fled so we went after it. The offroad then rammed into us, and 2 seconds later he "magically" lost connection

In terms of the VDM, that seems to be more fault from both sides and not on purpose as it is not clear enough although the combat log is certainly clear here as that is far too convenient.
