Server: GTA RP
Your Character Name: Marcel De Valois
Reported Players: Cash 333
Date: May 12, 2025
Time: 20:10
What best describes this incident: VDM
Please (in detail) describe the incident: I was driving my bike when Cash decided it was good idea to try and initiate RP while driving 100 mph, he then Vdmed me on my bike sending my into the air and almost killing me, and then proceeded to benefit from me not being on my bike and the rule break by robbing me with a knife while I was on foot with a crate on my back and my bike was inoperable and half my armour gone.

I didn't stand much of a chance with the way he played me. Who let this casual back on the server? I don't care much for excuses his Cash you have a massive ban record and this is super poor gameplay. You Vdmed me and admitted it in LOOC chat and proceeded to play me anyways as if your /me would make up for things.

Hello, EthicalToby.

As a casual gamer, I never expected this to be used against me, but in this situation, I'll own it. I've included a video clip [CLIP-1] to show the desync that occurred when you tried to turn your motorbike at 90 mph. Regardless, I tried to make the interaction enjoyable and engaging, but as your recordings demonstrate, you were more interested in the OOC part, as you struggled to type in "looc", rather than roleplaying. You then continued to attack me while I had my trusted flick knife, leaving me with no other option for self-defence, which was not the initial plan.

Although, Toby, I believe your response to this report reveals a deeper issue with myself. I'm not sure who you are or what character you've played, but I come with no bad intentions. I appreciate you highlighting my /me's because I believe they offer depth and immersiveness to roleplay settings.

Thanks,
Casual Cash

I'm not entirely sure why my own conduct is being brought when I'm not the person being reported for vdm. You said you would own this but have done a fair amount of deflection on both desync and me at the same time. Either way I will point out I both say wtf bruv in looc and in RP vc so I was multitasking both and had both considerations in mind. I was in shock in RP and also in shock/ticked off in ooc.

It's not the way I like to start an RP instance with someone so excuse my grievances. I believe it's pretty understandable to be grabbing session heads at that point as many rule breakers are not exactly the easiest bunch to work with and I was pretty violated. I don't see anything wrong with that. Trying to say it's not somehow my right would be undermining the legitimacy of the rules.

Regarding my comments with your previous bans I am pretty sure on multiple of your tickets and appeals you have been asked to try to be careful not to break the rules again?

First and foremost, I would like to clarify that when I said, "I'll own it," I was referring to your statement, "Who let this casual back on the server?" Let's get this straight: You report me for VDM, and I submit my perspective, which clearly indicates the desync that occurred during the chase.

Instead of embracing the situation, you have chosen to transform it into something entirely else. Are you disappointed that you assaulted me and were unsuccessful? I'm also curious why you seem to continually discussing tickets, appeals, and bans. Could you please offer evidence for these frivolous claims?

If you believe that saying "wtf bruv" is adequate communication both OOC and in character, it's evident that you're having trouble character separating. Now, Ethical Toby, what exactly is this report about?

Reporting someone for VDM and then personally attacking them with comments like "Who let this casual back on the server", "You Vdmed me and admitted it in LOOC", "you have a massive ban record and this is super poor gameplay", I believe qualifies for transformation into something else.

Hi @Tobes ,

I need to remind you to keep your comments respectful and focused strictly on the rule break being reported.

Remarks such as “Who let this casual back on the server” and references to another player’s history are not relevant within the context of a player report. Player history is something staff considers when actioning a report. These comments detract from the report and go against the standards we expect in our community.

Please keep future reports focused on the facts and avoid personal or unnecessary comments. This helps us handle situations more effectively and maintain a respectful environment for everyone involved.

Thank you.

@6AN6 Do you feel like there was any wrong doing on your part in this situation?

In this context, no, as I meant to chase him down in my Tempesta and create a roleplay scenario. I put a lot of effort into my character's gangster aura, and after viewing the clip back, I believe I depicted it effectively. Although, I'd rather have kicked him off his bike when he didn't respond to my requests at knife point, but GTA mechanics suggested otherwise.

My apologies Oneshot, I will keep comments respectful and focused strictly on the rule break.

I personally feel that 6AN6 could have driven to the side of me considering he was able to catch up and was faster, then pressed G to use the shout function, especially if its the case that Desync is a frequent occurrence for him. The Tailgating also does not help, I believe it was reckless. I am quite squishy on a bike and I feel like that hasn't been recognised/respected much during the interaction or on the report.

I have reported for vdm. I don't believe discussing if cash the character is gangster enough is exactly relevant, I don't dispute that. Although sure I would say the 1st 30 seconds of the interaction was bad as a result of the car crash but my report is for vdm.

Thank you both for your time.

After reviewing the evidence and responses from both parties, this report is accepted.

@6AN6 – While the initial collision may have been caused by desync and not intentional, the rule in question (G1.1) Random Vehicle Death Match (RVDM). You chose to capitalise on the situation by robbing the player after knocking them off their bike, instead of acknowledging the mistake, voiding the interaction, or attempting to correct it. This shows poor judgement and a lack of responsibility in how the situation was handled.

As a result, you will receive a 1-day ban for RVDM. Please make sure that in future situations, especially those involving accidental rule breaks, you take appropriate steps to deescalate and avoid benefiting from them.

Action Taken

CharID: 22380
