OK, so essentially what had happened here is myself and around 8 other UNMC members were on a patrol to disarm rebels. The reasoning behind this is due to the recent attacks we faced the other day by around 60 rebels, this is our retaliation, disarm every rebel we see and execute anyone who is found to be related to the gangs involved.
It started by us following a quillin. The quillin was much faster than our SUVs offroad so when we saw a rebel walking down the main road (Stadium fuel road), we decided to grab him instead. I pulled in front of him and he ran out into the middle of the road as I was pulling over, so he fell down. I got out and said 'you shouldn't run in front of my car, i'd apologize but it wasn't my fault' or something along those lines. I gave him plenty of time to get up and talk and then we initiated on him. (The VDM was irrelevant as he was surrounded by us 360 degrees and would've been stopped anyway as he was on foot).
We told him to put his hands up a couple of times to which he responded ‘how’, as a // was being written one of my guys said ‘if you don’t place them up i’ll taze you’ (our SDAR works as a taser). So James was tased. We restrained him and then I personally removed his GPS and Slawek and myself told him ‘your radio and GPS has been removed’.
We put him in our van and drove him around 1km to the stadium, removed him and then took him up to the viewing box.
There I began to RP with him and everything was gucci. I told him why we were disarming him etc etc and he tried to bargain with me as to why he should keep his firearm. Although I thought he was a sound guy and didn’t want to take it, the whole RP story for this unit and patrol is ‘we take no shit and disarm all rebels’. For all I know he could’ve been apart of the attacks that took place the other day.
At some point Malley told him he was disconnecting his radio (there is a visible one on the carrier rig), to which James replied ‘It’s got no batteries don’t worry’, clearly showing that he was aware he had no comms.
I took the weapon and continued RP’ing. At the point in the video where he starts to say there will be consequences I was escorting him and was simply about to un restrain him as we had taken his weapon.
At this point due to the threat we started acting hostile. Now obviously we are here thinking ‘well he has no comms, no radio and hasn’t informed us of friends whilst in possession of a radio so we must be good’.
He mentions an ear piece in the video, which makes me think he hasn’t actually muted discord (he claimed he was in discord and not TS).
He said he had friends in the area, to which I believed however didn’t take too much notice due to the fact that he had no way of letting his guys know it was OK to shoot, and had no way of initiating.
He told me if we shot him we would be shot. So I found the loophole and decided to drop him off the roof.
As I was in the ‘player menu’ he shouted ‘shoot the fuckers’. Now his mate was shooting from 500+meters away, so he couldn’t hear anything. James claims to have not used his radio but I find it very ironic that as he said shoot I received the shots.
I then proceeded to fall off the roof as my attempt to escape ‘tactically’ failed.
I think that James was using his radio whilst not being in possession of one.
(3.5.1) When your communication devices have been taken from you by another player, you must not use external methods or group chat to communicate with anyone else. Only direct chat is to be used in this case.
Now in the UNMC liaison James stated his mate was taking a piss in real life and so was hiding in a bush near him when we took him hostage and conveniently witnessed the hostage taking.
James thinks that because his mate saw this he had the right to shoot when I took him to the roof. Now James has no evidence of this (his friend seeing us).
We weren’t getting anywhere in liaison and James asked if we could talk in a modded room (staff room) so we said yeah sure.
We spoke to Curley and james essentially just kept saying he was in the right when Curley said he wasn’t. He began to slate the server and call Curley corrupt etc. JohnJoegan was also in the room at a later time as James requested another staff member, again James was just rude and was stubborn to the fact that he had done nothing wrong.
I didn’t want to file the report, but we got absolutely nowhere after spending a good 45 mins to an hour in liaison.
I did write this yesterday. However, the forums were down.
