What best describes this incident: to say it straight shit rp bsically just forcing me me to say smthn and nothing elses (ive never meet them IC or OOC) with not affiliation to me or my character
Please (in detail) describe the incident: Me and my friend made our way to Pillbox because he needed to go to the hospital since he was on low health. When we arrived, we noticed that the bottom entrance was closed/locked. That’s where we first encountered them. My friend told them that the door was closed and that both they and we needed to go to the upper entrance to get treated.
Once we got up there, we saw a lot of police, and that entrance was also closed. Meanwhile, I waited in the car. When my friend came back, the two guys we encountered at the bottom drove up to me and asked for my name, which I told them. After that, they kept insisting that I say “Fuck the Slavs,” because they thought I was part of them which I’m not. I declined because I have no affiliation with them, so there was no reason for me to say it.
Even though I explained my reason for not saying it, they kept trying to pressure me. After the third or fourth time I refused, the driver of the other car pulled a gun on me and pointed it at me, demanding the same thing. I still didn’t say it, though (yes, you could say it’s not valuing my life, but I was playing my character as the same one I used in Arma 3 RP, where he’s seen worse or had worse done to him). After that, the guy just said, “You’re not gonna say it, bro,” reversed the car, and shot me.

Let me explain this from my POV with recent history.
Vagos have recently got into a beef with the group called The Slavs and it had resulted with a shootout happening the day before. As a result of this, members of Vagos had caught multiple slav members throughout the night, 2 of them happened to not want to claim their gang and insisted on saying they weren't slav members (turns out they were).
I understand you may have been unaware of this, however it provides context to why the roleplay went in that direction.

Earlier today we had been informed that there were 10+ slavs driving around the city in all white cars and all white clothing (hence why you were approached). The reason for asking you to say what you were asked to say was to find out if you were a slav. From recent events i mentioned above, asking you if ur were a slav wouldn't have been suffice because clearly there are members of the slavs that dont claim their gang.

I understand why you’re unhappy from a roleplay point of view, but the intent was never to force OOC behaviour. It was an IC intimidation tactic as a result of a current war and with my character’s outlook. When you repeatedly refused, even at gunpoint, we escalated in line with that RP. Could I have provided more RP after? Yes, and in the future I will keep this in mind.

I would have hoped you'd ask to liaise with me after you were unhappy with the course of roleplay. If you would like to, could we sort out a time to jump in QE to sort this out? If so please let me know what time best suits you and I'm sure we could work something out over the weekend.

It was still pretty bad RP in that moment. I totally understand that you might have been in a rush because you didn’t know whether I was part of them or not, or if I might’ve called them over for help or something.

However, there’s also no denying that you and your group had some heated interactions with my friend as well, which I think also played a role in the situation.

And yes, I know IC that you (Vagos) are currently in a gang war with someone, but I didn’t know who it was with. If I had known, I probably would’ve changed my outfit and car so you wouldn’t “target” me or my friends.


But back to the main point the RP in that situation was just poor. I think it would’ve been much more fun and exciting for both parties if you had taken me with you and interrogated or even tortured me to find out whether I was part of the Slavs or not. That would’ve created quality RP and more opportunities for future interactions.

In the end, it just wasn’t a good interaction and it didn’t leave a good impression of you and your friend. Again, I do understand your point of view, but I just wish the situation had played out differently and with a bit more depth to the RP.

And yes, of course, you could say that we found out your name through RP we had with others in order to learn who you are and maybe create more RP opportunities in the future. But honestly, in that case, we were just lucky, because my friend built up a lot of contacts in the short amount of time he’s been on the server.

No, I haven’t tried reaching out to them OOC. I would’ve done that, but I was just a bit too unhappy in that situation which, next time, I’m definitely going to do.

But I think we’ve both said enough, and we both understand each other’s perspectives. If that’s the case, then I’m fine with just calling it a bad encounter between the two of us and taking it as a learning experience for future situations.
