To summarise and hopefully bring this report to a close I will explain my POV of the situation.
Outside of Ballas being threatened and escorted off Mara turf by police to disengage from the original shootout, there was no active pursuit targeting me personally. At no point prior to the parking at the casino was I made aware of being actively chased, and I came to that conclusion when I stood stationary for a while at the casino bridge, while other members of Ballas were being boxed in/chased/targeted.
Because I was stood around for some time and no officers made any attempt to interact with me or make it known that I was in fact being pursued and that I was the target in the situation. I made the choice to park my car up, partly because I needed to go in head quickly and partly because I knew I had a warrant, so I tried to hide my identity and not stick out like a sore thumb in hopes of not escalating the situation to a shootout right there and then.
It was not until I was already at the casino valet, with my interaction button on the car that I received a radio call stating that I was being followed, and a pursuit from casino bridge to casino parking is hardly a 3 second pursuit. But by that point I had already made the decision to park my car, this was not to attempt to avoid or disrupt ongoing roleplay, it was simply a decision made off my understanding that I was not the target. I do understand the rule in question relates to storing a vehicle in a way that prevents roleplay, and I am not denying the fact that I did indeed store my car, but I want to make it clear that there was no intent to gain an unfair advantage or escape RP.
For me the RP started when I got into another Balla members car and the first interaction with police and me was made when they crash into us and says something along the lines of "get out of the car", and a pursuit is then taken place, and we get told to drive up north. But nevertheless, I have been corrected at the QE by Hank himself stating that I have misunderstood the situation and that there is an ongoing situation already as soon as police sirens are on or something of that sort. Inevitably a shootout does end up taking place around the highway a few minutes after this, that I take part in and ultimately go down at.
The QE along with Hank’s explanation put things into perspective for me, that I have as a matter of a fact broken this rule and I got a better understanding of how things were perceived on the other end. I have since spoken and apologised to the individual I believe was most directly impacted for any unintended disruption this may have caused. So, with that said, I will leave it in staff’s hands and will gladly accept any and all repercussions for this misunderstanding. Thanks.
