Selling Ore and Ingots

I think there should be a way for people to sell ores and ingots to a local buyer similar to the ones like the scrap and fruit buyers.
 
+1 Only if its a little less than selling it to groups as you should get rewarded more for making interactions with other players and more roleplay. Rather than none with an NPC. But still good for people who have extra to offload or to just make money if they enjoy mineing.

It's a roleplay server, not minecraft or roblox. Find actual buyers.

The server doesn't need more implementations that reduce interactions between players.

Upset there's not enough demand for the materials that get mined? Make suggestions for that to change, for them to have more utility.

I agree with this tbh, seen it happen with the scrap man. 28k plastic sold to the scrap man even though theres plenty of actual players that buy it and even pay more. People will rather go to the npc than players which shouldnt happen imo

I often worry the server will gradually move more towards changes that promote less interaction. Being able to sell oranges and apples at a vendor, when realistically, they should just not be available at all from wholesale, opening up the market for actual foragers. Same for scrap as you mentioned.

For me, this is the equivalent of letting people buy cars from the tablet instead of needing a player.
 
This is what Miners&Co are pushing for! we want to have a warehouse where you can bring your ores and bars down and sell to us at a cheaper rate and then having to sell to players for more money!

but if we're there we can buy them from you with a tiny bit higher price then the vender and it will have some form of rp towards it!!
 
+1 i feel a vendor or something like the fruit vendors would be a good fit for this something where nobody really earns money from it other then the person selling the materials. The prices should be a little lower then selling to groups but i feel that the vendor should be government owned like fruit vendors or else the economy would sky rocket else at least if government own it then the economy technically stays the same

I mean I just like the idea for newbies that are trying to get themselves sorted in the server. Its really hard to find people to buy coal.

All im saying..... some people always need coal cough cough lol

Unfortunately, I am going to be rejecting this suggestion for the following reason(s):
  • Lack of community support.
  • A lot of time has passed since this suggestion was made, and the server has changed a lot since then, so feedback from the current player base would be ideal.
Rejection does not always mean we would not consider the idea in future, so if you or anyone else disagrees and believes this would be a good idea, please feel free to make a new suggestion to gauge further community feedback.
