Solicitor Access to MRPD Parking

Hello

When solicitors get calls to visit MRPD, 9 times out of 10, we are asked to go to the back door.

It feels unrealistic jumping over walls and running through bushes in our suits and nice shoes.

Could on duty solicitors have access to the car park area gate at the back of MRPD, to leave our car there whilst in the cells.

I always park my car in the rear car park, just need officer to come out and do the gates. No climbing over bushes needed.

I would prefer dev time be spent giving our own office spaces with its own designated shared firm parking. IMHO as a regular solicitor this is not needed and does not make sense sorry -1

There have been some office spaces offered to firms, i guess the parking would just be like any other business, you buy it off the COC

You don't though if you go the back way and take the stairs down to custody?

G6 often use the rear gate when using the bus to transport. If solicitors had access it would be chaos if solicitors just opened the gates leading to masses of prisoners escape
