DO NOT USE OVERWOLF, ok, I disabled it when playing and i went from 20 fps to 35-40 fps. Just a little tip.

makes exactly 0 FPS difference to me... only issue I have with overwolf is that the video recordings tend to go out of sync with the audio about 60% of the time, every time.

 
Fuck Overwolf, I think your case is rare, but my fps with overwolf does go down with a frame or two, but nothing you really realize. But still i do 40-50fps on ultra so i guess it should be able to handle it :p

 
I think its pretty rare also. Some users have fps issues but I've never experience that to be the case! 

As far as video issues I had the same problem but I emailed support@overwolf.com and they helped me sort it out by tweaking a few settings!

 
Installing on a ssd will help with negating frame drops.

Best one yet somebody was used to 8 frames in kavala, installed on ssd went up to 30 frames.

I used to drop to around 8-12 fps never drops from average fps now

Thats true, i read that most textures are preloaded on the Harddrive in arma 3, not like on many other games on the ram.

I feelt a good fps boost with ssd also. just can recommend it.
