Using the sidechat or the 00C, I made fun of a players clan tag, thinking it was not against the rules. For what it's worth, I don't think I broke RP for I'd trashtalk (in moderation) in direct messaging anyways so it was purely issue of me being a bit of an idiot and not respecting the "metagaming" section of the rules.
Why should we unban you ?
I am pretty new to this RP stuff (and ARMA3 MP for that matter) so I did not realize the difference between the different chats. The persons I insulted were also using the side chat, beckoning us to join Teamspeak, so I erroneously assumed that I too could use the chat to air my juvenile insults like in other multiplayer oriented games. I might be a bit of a shittalker in real life too, so certain level of trashtalk feels like a natural part of the RP for me. In the wake of this ban, I have taken a more comprehensive look at the rules and my behavior, so I can assure you that this won't happen again if I were to get unbanned.
