In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
In the very early hours on the morning around 03:00am - 04:00am me and about 8 other people were sitting in our Teamspeak channel as me normally do, pissing around playing music and having a good time, when two members of the gang thought it would be a tremendous idea to go to the Auction House knowing full well that when buying items, it duplicates. At this point in time, I can confirm I was the only one who acknowledged their plan and even said "Admins are online right now" yet this did not seem to hinder the two members of my gang into exploiting the very well known glitch.

So as me knowing what they were doing and not reporting it to the Staff Team lead to me being banned under rules (1.8).

Why should we unban you ?
The rule states that "Forcing" or "Encouraging" other member of the community to break rules is punishable by a ban. However, not at one point in the situation at hand did I sit there and tell them to do it, or force them to do it. Simply me knowing is not against the rules. If the rule also included knowing about rule breaks im 100% sure that even members of the Staff Team should be banned as well.

I've only just started getting back into the server and since returning have had no run-ins- with Staff or had any warnings. Now, this is no excuse or pardon yet I feel like a warning could have been more suitable to the situation as I even held my hands up and admitted to having a faint idea of what they were doing. Myself actually never committing the exploit as seen in BattleMatrix have no idea how it actually works.

you knew what they were planning, And yet you did not inform a admin on there plans. I am pretty sure you got banned in the past. 
For having a part into not reporting bad behaviour of other members and participating in a "Snaketest". So you have to look from our side, 
2 people going to exploit a know bug, With you knowing and yet you did not come forward. So were the people that got banned for exploiting the only ones that exploited?

This is not accurate. My previous ban was for (1.2) after me ACTUALLY reporting my gang for breaking rules they decided to get revenge which resulted in me getting banned.

So were the people that got banned for exploiting the only ones that exploited?  




 

I will answer this question in two contexts: 

The two members of the gang who have been punished appropriately with bans were the only ones in the situation who were exploiting the glitch.

On the other hand, I exploited the Staff Team's trust in me, which as you can imagine, was very hard to regain after my previous ban.

No, I can assure you that my former, childish and pathetic ways have been left long in the past. However, this situation was a lapse in judgment, one which resulted in me getting banned. I feel as if me being in the channel being in a world of my own and only acknowledging about 2-3 minutes of what actually happened shouldn't have got me banned. I know and in those 2-3 minutes I should have gone straight to the Staff Team, but where did that get me last time? I'll tell you; permanently banned for a video shown to Staff to get revenge.

You were given a 1.2 for a very good reason and you know why. Now if you want to get unbanned you will have to change that attitude.

When did you first know about the auction house exploit?

Apologies for the attitude.

It’s hard to tell exactally when I first knew about the auction house glitch, but at a best guess I’d say a few weeks give or take 5-6. 

I was already aware that the glitch has been reported to staff multiple times before TBJ took action and released a Patch recently. 

But as stated before, I’ve genuinely never even opened the tablet at Auction House because I always thought it was overpriced and useless.

So before we go deep and check the logs, you are saying you never used the auction house while knowing there was an exploit?

Why then did you sit in the same room and let your TS channel players knowingly use it?

Yes, I am saying I have never the Auction house whilst knowing that it was broken and exploitable.

I know a lot of people who use the Auction House, doesn’t necessarily mean that they are there to dupe. I knew my gang members where headed over there. I never “let” them use the exploit. I can’t control what they can and can’t do James. I said “admins are online” questioning their decision to use the exploit and they didn’t listen, I acknowledged their plan to head over there, not acknowledging them using the exploit

And did you not think that when "they didn't listen" that it might've been wise to alert the staff team so that they could deal with those who did go on to exploit?

Again, you were banned for breaking a rule, and quite a serious one, so don't blame your past ban on other people, you were responsible for your actions.

You can always inform a member of staff of something you think might be happening (such as this)... had you told us that your gang members were considering abusing the exploit (sending a TS text would have aroused no suspicions) then we could have observed them doing so while in admin cam and caught them ourselves, totally untraceable to you.

Do you see why it looks very suspicious that you knew rule breaks were going on and did nothing to inform anyone?

In honesty, now that you put it like this, it does make sense and I can see why it might look bad on my part for not informing you

I'd like to point out that I stand by the fact that I didn't know my members were going to break rules, only go to Auction House

But using the auction house knowingly exploiting the glitch is still exploiting, your story doesnt seem consistent

It is perfectly consistent? I don't know what you're questioning here: I KNEW they were going to the Auction house, they KNEW that it duplicates items. Yet I didn't know that they were going there to dupe? I don't need you to quote me because I know what I said.

So you have already been told to wind in your attitude, now you are just wasting time. 

You may appeal in 14 days, this is to allow you to have a think about how you handle yourself with staff members in the unban appeal and to think if you do want to get unbanned, because your attitude suggests otherwise.

You were banned, it is your chance to convince us that you can follow the rules, and given what has been said so far, we are not convinced of this.
