I don't know exactly why I was banned because I recently bought this computer and steam account on the 15th of December from a friend of mine the previous owner got banned for the rule 2.1 vehicle deathmatch I have spoken to staff members about this and because there is no way to prove he doesn't own the computer anymore they have told me to put a unban appeal in

Why should we unban you ?
I think you should unban me because it's going to be a completely new person on the server and I have some friends here who are going to show me the right way to do things and I also want to play with them on a high-quality roleplay server I also have read the rules and know most of them off by heart another reason why you should unban me is I would like to get into roleplaying and pc gaming on a strict server where the devs and admins actually care about it

Why would you buy a steam account? I suggest you contact whoever you bought the account from and ask them what happened.

I bought the steam account as part of the deal with the computer so I didn't have to buy all the games my friend who I bought it off said he smashed his helicopter into another vehicle

So what you're telling me that because you're someone different than the person who violated the rules we should unban you, despite the fact that what you participated in violates the Steam Subscriber Agreement

You may therefore not sell or charge others for the right to use your Account, or otherwise transfer your Account, nor may you sell, charge others for the right to use, or transfer any Subscriptions other than if and as expressly permitted by this Agreement
You may not reveal, share or otherwise allow others to use your password or Account except as otherwise specifically authorized by Valve.
Section 1C of the Steam Subscriber Agreement - Support forums
So if you're willing to break the rules regarding Steam accounts, that tells me a lot about you. It tells me you're somebody willing to bypass restrictions or not one to read into what you may be doing.

not trying to shift blame away from me, but I'm 100% sure most people in this community have broken guidelines and rules in some shape or form in the past, or not read terms & conditions which is basicly what I've done here. I wasn't exactly accurate when I said I bought the steam account + computer as what I meant was that I had bought the computer, and ontop of that I was being given the steam account as well (for reference, I did know in advance that I would be recieving it but that wasn't my main reason for purchasing the computer). I've never owned a steam account before, and thus I've never really looked into what I was and wasn't allowed to do in regards to this account, I just saw it as my friend giving me some games, just as if I had bought a PS4 from a friend and he gave me some games on top. Does it technically break this steam community guideline? Probably, whether it's actually meant for people like me and not instead people looking to ban evade or make a profit is another question entirely. Regardless, I don't believe this shows my dedication to upkeeping guidelines bestowed upon me as following a few regulations from a company worth billions of dollars is not nearly the same thing as following the rules of a relatively small online gaming community, where I plan on making sure whatever actions I take are in the best interests of everyone and the communities rules as I understand they are there to safekeep everyone and ensure everyone has a safe and fun time.

As a community for a game hosted on steam it would not be wise to allow someone to join that does not follow the rules set up by steam. The rule that was broken on the server is a relatively small one. The rule that you broke in regards to steam is a big one, no matter the size of the company compared to our community.
Don't you think it would be wise to sort the issue with your steam account before you try and play on our servers?

i know im guilty in buying a steam account without reading the rules and regulations of steam but most people don't read all of the rules and regulations from steam when they are making their account they just scroll to the bottom of the list and tick the box saying you agree to all of the rules and regulations in my position what do you think i should to fix this situation? because if i bought a new steam account and i have no way to prove i bought this one it could be seen as ban evading and that's a more serious rule to break on this server (i'm not saying vdm isn't a serious rule it is still very serious) i have got myself into a tricky situation so i could do with your advice on how to fix all off this and make it right so i can play on this server with all my friends and have a good time.

I'm sorry I'm not buying it.

To be honest the rest of the staff team shouldn't even be entertaining this appeal.

Honesty is the best policy, until then.

Denied.
