Reminissions claims to have banned me for Discrimination, however I do not believe this to be the case. I did exactly what he asked and still got banned.
Orginally when I joined the game, I forgot to switch armour profiles having been logged into a meme account whilst on a friends private server which we were using for Mod testing, etc. I did not think anything about it until I was banned form the Game server. I changed my name and rejoined which, I fully understand why it needed to be changed. Me and my mates were in the the 'Cardiff' TS channel and Reminissions came in to have a word about our clan name, which we changed.
He also asked me to change my TS name which at the time was Yorkshire is Gae. The reason I used 'Gae is because, this is in fact not a discriminative word. If I had out my name to 'Gay' then I would fully understand, however this was not the case. I told Reminissions what Gae actually meant (See here: http://www.yourdictionary.com/gae). Having told him he still requested I changed my name, which I did as soon as I tabbed out of my game. The key thing to point out is that I do suffer from ADHD (See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention_deficit_hyperactivity_disorder). Note that this page says " difficulty controlling behavior which is not appropriate for a person's age.". Under my breath, as he was leaving I may have said "Salty", which is when I got banned.
My two problems about this is that 1) I do not see how this is "Discrimination" as is what I was banned for. 2) Most importantly, Reminissions did not know all the facts, mainly about me and what I suffer from mentally.
Personally I think that Reminissions banning me for my ADHD could shine a bad light on RP Staff, but I am not going to argue this point as I don't feel the need to bring up the offence this caused me.
Why should we unban you ?
Although I feel like this ban was not deserved after I followed out instructions from the staff member, I have still learnt to respect admins at all times. I can now see why they asked me to change names, etc. out of respect for other players and Staff need to be listened to.
