Server: GTA RP
Character Name: Frank Shmezy
Steam ID: 76561198170005623
Ban ID (just the numbers): 20443
Ban Reason: i was banned for G1.2
Why do you think you were banned: From what I rremember, me and another player were messing about around and ramming into each other at Pillbox. It started off as just messing around, but it escalated quickly, and I ended up shooting him.
Why should we unban you: I want to start by sincerely apologizing for my actions. These past five months have given me a lot of time to reflect on what happened and how I handled the situation.

Looking back, I clearly see where I went wrong. I now understand just how important the RDM rule is—not just as a guideline, but as something that keeps the server fair and enjoyable for everyone. At the time, I acted irresponsibly. Instead of pausing to think I made a stupid choice and just shot the other player. There’s no excuse for that.

Since then, I’ve taken the time to read through the rules thoroughly and understand them. More importantly, I’ve taken responsibility for my actions and have been working on holding myself to a higher standard. This hasn’t been easy, but it’s been necessary.

I know that trust, once broken, takes time and effort to rebuild. I don’t expect things to go back to how they were right away. All I ask for is a chance to show that I’ve grown, that I’ve learned from my mistakes, and that I’m committed to doing better—not just for the sake of being unbanned, but because I want to be a more positive and respectful part of the community.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I truly am sorry, and I hope you’ll consider giving me another chance.
Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

Good evening @frank shmezy
I hope you are well?

Everyone always likes to emphasize that they've read the rules thoroughly - So, what can you tell me about the rules, not just the one you've broken?
Why do we have them on a Role Play server?
Do you think the rule G2.12 may also be relevant in this appeal?

What positive effect can you bring to the community, should we unban you?

Hey Violet, Thanks for getting back to me.

I totally understand why the server rules are in place, they help keep things fair and fun for everyone, and They’re important for maintaining high-quality RP. It’s what keeps everyone on the same page and makes the whole experience better for everyone.

I agree that G2.12 was broken, and I take full responsibility for that. It was a slip on my part and not the standard I usually hold myself to. I always aim to create enjoyable, fun RP for everyone involved, and I genuinely care about making memorable scenarios that people can get into and enjoy.

If I’m given another chance, I’d really appreciate the opportunity to keep doing that. I know I can bring good energy and some fresh ideas to the RP, while making sure I stick to the rules moving forward.
Thanks again for taking the time to read this.

Good evening @frank shmezy

If you understand why we have these rules in place, to keep it fun and fair - Why do you keep breaking them?
A wrap sheet such as yours, collectively over the years, I would assume you're well acquainted with the rules and why we have them.

How many more slips in standard is it going to take for you to fully grasp the rule G1.2, along with the other rules? Ideally, the answer would be none.
Why would we want to risk another chance of you breaking rules, to end up here again on this section of the forums?

Please, detail out the times you feel you've provided good, quality RP that others have enjoyed as I am curious to see, should you be successful here, what we can expect for your return.

Please respond soon - or this appeal will be timed out.

Good evening, Violet,

I recognise that I sometimes break rules when I get ahead of myself in certain situations and act a little too quickly, which can lead to breaking the rules. I’ve learned from these moments and am determined to be more mindful moving forward.

I’ve also made some memorable RP experiences, such as when i did PD Olympics, where officers participated in timed laps, long jumps, and bleep tests and we took times and found the fastest officer in the PD.

I’m excited for the opportunity to return and create a police character bringing enjoyable RP experiences for everyone .

Good morning @frank shmezy

After this incident a ticket was opened by staff to have a chat with yourself. Looking back on the ticket you came across as evasive and answered only parts of the questions asked about the situation. An example to this is when asked what lead up to you shooting the individual and why you did that - you answered he popped all your tyres so you shot him completely avoiding answering the what lead up to it.

After a few messages you did answer the question but a few things stood out;
  • how is that rdm the situation hasn't ended he just moved his car
  • the roleplay was surley carried on from before
  • to be honest i don't really have an excuse dont know why i shot him do you have a clip of it i feel like there was more to it
  • i dont really remember

Your answers didn't fill staff with confidence, especially because this happened not long after you came off an RDM ban, so this ban was issued. You then said at the end of the ticket: "What a waste of time lol"

So with that being said;
  • Explain G1.2 in your own words and why we have such a rule on the server.
  • What makes your previous actions RDM, and what should you have done differently?
  • Do you think your comment was necessary in the ticket: "What a waste of time" when staff was trying to discuss a rulebreak with you?
