Unban Appeal for GTaylorson

In-game Name: Dave Smith

Server: GTA RP

Steam ID: 76561198453759676

Ban ID: iirpuk1173011

Reason given for your ban: C2.3

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I know why I was banned because I was at auto exotic and I missed clicked and I punched someone there so they told me to get of the property so I did and went on to the road but they said go away and I didn’t want to so one guy shot me and then as I was getting drove to get dumped then i combat logged.

Why should we unban you ?:I think you should unban me because I genuinely love this server and the community and have regretted me combat logging every day for the month cool-down,Also for the reason I did combat log in the first place was I got hot headed in the situation so I’ve been reflecting by focusing on my self and to make better decisions ,so I would be forever grateful for a second chance and this will never happen again. Also I am sincerely sorry that I lied it was stupid of me I should have told the truth.I have read over the rules so this wont happen again. My hope for the future is so you can trust me.

I am truly sorry.
Thanks GTaylorson

Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

What was the aim with combat logging? Why did you believe, at the time, that was the right course of action to take?

The aim was to get off the game quicker ,but it was not the right way to handle the situation. I now know that i have too roleplay the situation at the best of my abilities to provide the best Roleplay and wait to bleed out.

Explain to us why you believed combat logging was the solution in this case?

Is this the only time you have combat logged?

Combat logging is not okay in any circumstance but at the time of me combat logging I felt I shouldn’t have been in the situation in the first place. I lost my head and did it, thinking it would solve my problems. However it’s clear to me now that it was the wrong option as it’s left me out of the city for over a month. I regret combat logging as I value the server very much and would be forever grateful for another opportunity. To my knowledge I haven’t combat logged prior to this incident, it was out of character of me to lose my composure in a situation like this and can assure you it wouldn’t happen again. Thanks GTaylorson.

Explain why you don't believe you should of been in that situation in the first place for us, Also explain what went on leading up to the combat logging from your side.

I was at auto exotic and accidentally flexed a muscle that lead me to hit someone there. Before I even got the chance to apologise I was shouted at by multiple staff members, telling me to get of there property. I did get off the property by going on the road, looking back now I do regret not just getting out the area as I provoked them by still being near them. Then I think someone made a call and two people came and shot me in the head. After this I was being taken in there car `to be dumped’ which then I proceeded to combat log on the way there. I feel as the situation could have been sorted out back at AE if they just gave me a chance to apologise. I still do regret me combat logging as I should have just role-played out the situation I was faced with. Thanks again for taking the time to read this.

Indeed so in hindsight it's not you shouldn't of been involved with a situation, More you shouldn't of tried to provoke others and in turn going down as a result of your own actions within RP.

Maybe a simple apology may have solved it, Now it would be impossible to tell. You should of finished up the roleplay and waited to respawn, Be saved, What ever the outcome would of been prior to logging out, On that we both agree.

In relation to the rules, Can you quote the rule you broke and explain in your own words why we have such a rule in place and the importance of such a rule.

(C2.3) Combat logging - Logging out at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).
The reason this rule is in place is to prevent people from abandoning role play situation and ruining the experience for all members of the city. If this rule wasn’t a thing the city would be very toxic as people will just leave situations which ruins the whole point of role-play. This rule is very important to the city, if not the most important as without this rule the role play would be terrible and ruined as people won’t face there problems face on.

Very well, I'm happy to give you another opportunity to return to the community as you do seem to understand the rule, Reason it's here and your own actions since the ban has been placed.

I would suggest if you haven't already to ensure you have read all the rules, Both the GTA and Community rules prior to rejoining the server.
