Why do you think you were banned: Forcing a scenario where no matter the roleplay of the other party you will win.

The way this was breached was due to another party sending me 100k from the aspect of where I walked an individual to the ATM after trying to extort their business.
Why should we unban you: After the situation had taken place I realised where I went wrong on my behalf of the situation, I walked the individual to the ATM which was perceived as him not having the option to avoid the encounter and being forced into a roleplay experience where they had no other option to win.

Reading the Hank stated, I understand that I failed to execute the final strike of the roleplay in a fair way towards the Bahama boys. I have reflected on this and know better how I can finalise these types of situations moving forward, allowing each party to have a fair and enjoyable experience that wouldn’t force their hand.

I know I can conduct myself in accordance to the rules, I made this mistake because I didn’t take the moment out of my time to view the other side, Im aware of this and will ensure that I take the necessary time to analyse each situation that will ensure that each situation is fair and enjoyable, in accordance with the rules.
I have been discussing with the other members of the gang how we could have conducted this situation better, after reviewing the points from Hank and Stuart I understand how to do so without breaching server rules, at the time I immersed myself within the character and took it too far. Moving forward I have the correct mentality to avoid breaching these rules by providing the appropriate mentality in this types of situations

How can we be sure that something like this won't occur again? We know you can roleplay properly, so I'm unsure as to why your standards would slip this time?
 
Hi Danoo,

As you can see, I attempted to provide quality roleplay in this situation, I have discussed what went wrong extensively with my group to ensure a situation this like would not occur again, in terms of why this happened is due to deep immersion into my character and, to be honest, thought that leaving him in the room alone would be sufficient, but realising that walking him towards the cash point breached the rule, if anything similar occurs further down the line, I intend to contact staff to ensure I am not breaching server rules, or before that ask my group members to ensure the situation is developing in accordance to the server rules.

Why has it taken for a permanent ban to be pushed through for you to then begin doing what you've mentioned above?
Surely you'd have all developed the situation in accordance to the server rules to begin with.

You say you were heavily immersed but surely that just means we're at a risk of this repeating itself, if you get too immersed into the roleplay which overall is the purpose of the server?

There is no risk of this repeating itself, Like I have stated I understand what went wrong, walking the person towards the ATM, at the time I thought leaving him alone in the room after escorting him to the ATM would have been sufficient enough to prevent this being powergaming as I believed he had enough time to leave the building during those 20 seconds I left him be, however my misconduct was walking him to the ATM.

So yes I was heavily immersed, but I have no intention of breaching the server rules like this again, I have learnt from my mistake. There is no risk.


It hasn’t taken me a permanent ban to realise that’s what I should have done if I had confusion about the rule, Like I have stated, I didn’t realise that walking him to the ATM would have fallen under powergaming, I thought leaving him in the room with some time to himself was enough, clearly it wasn’t and I have reflected upon this to ensure something similar wouldn’t happen again, it was clarified to me within the report itself but also after a discussion with my members also.

I think you've made it clear enough now that you know where you went wrong, and it's pretty clear this this specific rule won't be broken again.
You've had 2 bans now in 2024, both related to Cutlass, is it a fair assumption that your roleplay standards have been dropping whilst involved with the gang sided RP?
 
No, that would be contradictory, as the staff appreciated my roleplay, which only fell short because it involved walking to the ATM. Before joining Cutlass, I had no idea how to roleplay, but as you can see from the clips, I've been much more comfortable with my role. My group takes roleplaying very seriously, which motivates me to give it my all. Seeing myself rise from a minor criminal to a crime boss just goes to demonstrate how beneficial the current RP is. The gang and I have put a lot of effort into this progression, and I'm looking forward to learning more and contributing to the creation of content in line with that; Even the person who first reported me gave a detailed account of our ongoing roleplay, which I'm sure you would agree is very interesting. I want to see these situations through to the end, as well as the many more that Cutlass and I are involved in.

Do you essentially see anything else wrong with the actions resulting in this ban? I notice you've mainly pointed out the fact you walked the player to the ATM, but do you see anything else wrong?

I also assume the 100K is currently sitting in your account?
 
It's not just the ATM march it's because I left the character feeling like they had no choice and were forced to do something without a fair chance i.e coming back in 24 hours. Yes, the money should still be in my account.

One other thing that has me curious, why didn't you respond to the report?
 
Kash wanted to reply as he was a part of the scenario and I thought that would have been sufficient enough at the time as many members were present.

The above wipe has been completed. With your responses in this appeal I am confident you won't be repeating the same mistakes and have managed to learn a lesson from this incident.
I will give you another chance on the server, please do not waste it! Any ban you receive within the next 6 months will be a permanent.
