Firstly I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read my appeal.

I'd like to start by acknowledging that combat logging is a bannable offense because it disrupts RP and ruins immersion for others. I take accountability for this choice and I see now that regardless of my frustration of the situation at the time, it was the wrong choice to make.

I understand that this unban appeal is about my actions however to give some context to the the frustrating situation I referred to was when a friend of mine was being harassed repeatedly in game and was being continually victim to RDM and RVDM and also the person in question constantly broke the NVL rule. This had been happening for quite some time and was incredibly annoying and frustrating for her and all her friends as we would all be ran over, stabbed and more. My understanding is that there was a report/ticket open regarding this. At the time of my combat log, she was stabbed by the person in question and then as a result of me hanging out with her, I was also stabbed. I logged out, out of frustration. We were stabbed with no prior roleplay and left with no attempt of medical roleplay.

Looking back, I realise I should not of logged off and continued with the roleplay and then followed the correct steps such as asking to discuss the situation in QE over OOC messages and if that was not resolved report it on the forums. I have taken a long break from RP and have spent a lot of time reflecting on my actions and how it can impact the RP and the experience of others. I know there are better ways to manage conflict in game and I have re-read the rules to ensure I am up to date and my knowledge is fresh to ensure I don't make any mistakes in future and to not act on impulse.
I also recognise that this isn't my first combat log and that may affect your confidence in myself to ensure this doesn't happen again. I want to assure you that if given the chance, I will return as a better, more patient player. I really enjoy the community and the RP in this server and I would appreciate the opportunity to prove to yourself that I can positively contribute to the server.

You were banned for combat logging before and got unbanned, you also joined TeamSpeak and were adamant you didn't break the rule when told otherwise by staff you left, considering you have gone through the same process over this rule-break it is confusing to me why you are back here.

You were unbanned for combat logging 3rd of May 2024 and just shy of 6 months later, 2nd of November is when you got banned for the same thing again, why should I waste my time on this appeal? Give me a good enough reason to entertain this appeal from yourself.

Thank you for your responce.

I could tend to be a very impulsive person when it comes to RP as I could really let my emotions get the better of me. It was a lot of emotions of Rusty persistently chased Hazel, followed us, stabbing us and continually running us over multiple times a day despite killing us off he would still keep going and it had become overwhelming where I felt like I had no escape and I made the foolish decision of combat logging to get away from it.

I can understand that combat logging ruins and destroys roleplay once it’s broken and that is not something I can take back but I would like to sincerely apology to those whose roleplay I have effected and the staff. I know that I acted wrongly and I will not be making the same mistake again.

And to answer the question of why you should not see this appeal as a waste of time: this happened for a second time due to outside interference but I understand now that it was not the correct way to act to that situation. I have had a lot of time away since being banned to think about the situation, I was wrong to combat log and how there was several ways around correcting what was happening and could have taken a different approach.I am hoping for another chance to be able to show I will not make the same mistake again and provide high quality roleplay.

What would you do next time in a situation like this?I

feel like for example in that situation as Rusty he was breaking rules I could have reported him which would have put a stop to it or I could have let staff know about the situation to help and let them know what was going on. This would have stopped me from getting overwhelmed which led to my rule break.I also feel like if something like this happened where I got overwhelmed I could have opened a ticket and explained what was happening.

The reason the server has C2.3 in place is because it is an exploit to log off while incapacitated as it can stop me from continuing the roleplay and resetting the timer to bleed out. I know it is not fair to other people in the roleplay scenario if I cut it off by combat logging. There could have been many different avenues that could have been explored if I didn't combat log. The reason this rule is in place is to make it fair for everyone and keep roleplay running smoothly.

Hey Mark,

I think this was a build up of emotions as this went on for days, but if that happens again it would be best for me to take a step back from the game to calm down before it gets to the stage again where I break a rule. I could also ask for help from friends on how to handle the situation and also to help me calm down.

I like to think I am a very roleplay focussed person and I will be majority playing my character who goes by the nickname Opa (German Grandpa) and he is a cannibal. I have a lot of friends who I previously roleplayed with who used to help me capture people to eat them or when they were done with their roleplay would ask me to come and roleplay eating them to finish off situations. I would like to continue doing this kind of roleplay.


My other character is a normal man from Germany and he actually wants to join the police, but first tried out for the fire service to get into that profession.
