Whats up with new drug dealer?

The new location of the drug dealer has changed to make people RP more, Correct? however there are some things that should be RP'd for example the HM treasury and traffic stops and there are some things that should not require RP, like drug dealing, drug dealing is more of a mechanic for making money to facilitate RP scenarios, people do drug runs to get money, to buy things which lead to RP scenarios, if we put the drug dealer next to the police station there is an almost guarantee of a police officer spotting you there and once they spot you the only RP that they are interested in is restraining you, questioning you and then no matter what you say they will search your vehicle, if you say, "I'm selling bibles" an expected response from a police officer would be, oh let me have a look at that and then game over they search your truck. This location is ridiculous and actually makes drug dealing near impossible, one other point is why on earth would any drug dealer ever even think about selling drugs across the road from a police station. That is insane. the old location was tough, but this, this is absolutely ridiculous some things cannot be RP'd and drug dealing is one of those things, another location is a good idea, but this is a really bad location, I suggest next to kavala garage in the construction site or further south along the coastal road past the boat shop out of the city in the industrial buildings next to the road, that would be an excellent place.

I agree with Wilco deeply on this, as some previous people have said this will increase and promote more rp specifically those that go on drug runs on the server.  For those complaining about this there are many ways to rp your ways out of a situation if you have to talk to a cop, or someone else, while selling your drugs.

Honestly, I couldn't agree more with what wilco said.

If I did drugs, I would park my truck closely outside the police station and inform the police that I am delivering bibles to the church or something like that. I think it's in a church anyway..

Either way, you can roleplay your way out of anything. The majority of the police force would much rather roleplay with you than get into a gunfight or follow the book 100%, it's not fun for either side.

Great RP! But oh, wait.. The police will just check your truck, and ignore your RP. Oops, there are drugs in here not bibles, oh well looks like your truck is being scrapped!

I think drug dealing can be RP'd pretty well, last night i was running coke from the north down to the south for processing and i  got picked up in the middle of Agios by a traffic patrol, so i'm crapping my pants thinking the jig is up. Wrong, i get out of the car and comply with their orders, but i remain confident and RP enough to persuade them not to search the vehicle, firstly i announced that i was armed and possessed a license before they began their pat-down. Secondly when an officer asked to see my vehicle ownership documents he asked to check the glovebox for them, again i roleplayed against this by keeping the documents in my jacket, why? because i'm  a trucker by trade who owns and operates many vehicles and it's easy to get them mixed up or lost if they are kept in a glovebox, especially with the high levels of highjackings in Altis, in essence i gave them enough reasons to not check the vehicle itself, nor gave them permission to carry out a voluntary search (since they lacked probable cause, and this was a routine stop) in the end i managed to drive off into the sunset with a trunk full of cocaine because i talked my way out of the situation rather than pulling a gun and trying to shoot out of it.

We have all RP'd out of a sticky situation on the way to a drug dealer, this is easy to do but that has nothing to do with the new drug dealer location, my point remains that this new location makes RPing out of the situation impossible as in the end, you are at the drug dealer the police know exactly where it is an it is literally next door to their base there is a very high chance of being caught and searched therefore this location is redicoulous and must be changed I proposed a better location earlier.

I know and i get that, but i've managed a few successful runs to the new dealer by having friends mule the drugs on foot by unloading the vehicle far away and having them run to the clothing shop, then out it's back door and along the ridge behind the houses, only one of them has been caught so far which is small change in the grand scheme of things

You parked your Truck outside of the Drug Dealer?

Does that not strike you as unitelligent?

This is the best way to do drug runs, personally I used to have a boat for drug runs but the point remains the location is ridiculous it doesn't encourage RP it takes a very long time and it is completely unrealistic for a drug dealer to be next to the police station. We have to change it back as it is a very bad location or at least change it to somewhere new e.g. my earlier suggestions of down the coastal road in the industrial complex past the boat shop or in the construction site near kavala garage.

I'd like for it to be moved to a better location too, but at the same time i don't think it's current position is as bad or as game breaking as some people here are making it out to be.

Good luck to those wanting to use that dealer, yeah there are cops you can probably rp out of it with, but there are plenty of crappy rpers in the police so it won't be often.

Chances are the drug dealers location will be changed at some point, but for now the change is refreshing. Sure its bad in terms of realism for a drug dealer to be next to the police station, but it stimulates people to be more creative; which is a big personal preference of mine. It's a huge inconvenience for those that simply want to park right up close and spam T and Sell as fast as they can and get out of there and deters large groups of heavily armed rebels from loitering near their vehicle, but ultimately you get more money for selling at Kavala than UNMC/PRNA therefore surely it should be harder, all it may add is a little extra time. Maybe lose the interest in money and focus more on RP and being inconspicuous.

Thats my two cents anyway

Tried to roleplay my way out of being busted by police at the drug dealer, seems pretty hard if they are just staking the place out 24/7.

Every1 says roleplay it, but it doesnt change the fact that its way to unrrealistic. No1 would deal drugs cross the road from the police, it comepletly breaks the immersion if you ask me. If u keep thinking " well this isnt very lifelike, who the f decided this would be realistic" when your playing a certain aspect of the game, it should be changed :p nerf drugs or make it easier to patrol the processors or something, dont ruin the immersion of meeting the shady dealer in the city :p maybe something like the DP's with a designated spot to meet the dealer and the police could wiretapp wanted criminals phones or something so you have to be extra carefull. Dont even know if its possible, but feel it would add some more immersion to the game.

There is a lot of money to be made in drugs, before it was way too easy to make that money. I was a rebel for a while before I joined the police. All I did was drugs to make money, and boy, I had very little hassle in selling them.

There is too much money to be made in drugs with it being that easy, and that has been solved by moving the dealer.

Jeez, 3/4 of a million per run. Stupid.

There is a lot money to be made with drugs, try to earn it.

I personally love the new drug dealer locations. Them being away from the antique dealer makes legal diving so much better- I am hoping that this means selling the hard and legally earned wreck valueables does not mean that I am an easy unarmed extra 100K on a drug runners visit to the dealer.

Keep up the good work people, let have more legal jobs :D

One doesn't simply park a truck full of drugs outside the dealer. One puts it an alley and walks up to the dealer, pretending to pray.

So I have a question about drug dealing game mechanics:

If I'm doing drugs (any) am I going to be flagged red for the police automatically? On what step or how does this happen?

Can they see this flag on my name without interacting with me in any way?

Is there a way not to get flagged?

What is the RP behind this? I do understand the flagging mechanics when stealing cars / raiding houses and why it's there, but with drugs I don't see why there should be one. Unless I'm caught with the drugs, why should they know I've dealt with them on any given time?

You're only flagged if the cops question the drug dealer, but I think it only gives the last 10 people who've sold to him.

I'm not sure if this mechanic is changing soon, but that's how it works at the moment.
