It's really handy for differentiating what's being said on TS and in the game world. I'm used to it now, but you aint the 1st to say how annoying it is :D

Haha, my mission from the start was to save the officer by manipulating the hostage takers, then you guys came in and helped me save him.

I have a similar noise, but it's much more toned down and not so invasive.
