So it turns out I've won a raffle, Last night went to see the warcraft Movie and for a £1 entry I got a ticket, upon leaving turns out I got second place world of warcraft and 12 months of game subscription, the question is should I play it? i've never really looked into it but i am aware there is a fair amount of RP in azeroth or do it sell it on to fund the pizza for a few weeks (days)

Bearing in mind I've never really played before and if it is anything like EVE online i dont want to spend the next six years of my life getting to any decent milestone.

Help me RPUK your my only hope!

 
I would give it a try. Easy as that, i had never played it before but gave it a  chance and actually enjoyed it. Heavily addictive though :)

Wow is pretty bad atm, if its the first time you play it tho it might be fun for you

 
Legion will be the first expansion I will not preorder nor buy nor go back into game to see what its like.

I played from Vanilla days and after lich king expansion its just got worse, with all that phase bollocks they have now you can be leveling on a high population pvp server and not see anyone until you opened up the quest hub.

 
If you feel that you won't play it that much you would be better off selling it and buying something which you would really like ;) 

 
give it a try mate could not hurt. It better than runescape- sorry just had to lol. graphics are great as well probberly a fun game with your mates most likely you would be able to RP too 

 
If you've never played World of Warcraft before, it should be fun for quite some time for you. I played from 2006 - current, on and off and I have to say that it has alot to offer.

However, WoW is heading towards end-game only now instead of the adventure throughout the levels as it was "back in the days".

And dont worry, it wont take you more than about a week or two to hit max level. After that, then theres plentiful of milestones to hit.

But I would definately recommend you to give it a try, there are quite a few RP servers out there for ya if thats your thing :).

Well done lad, yeah Wow has a pretty good RP scene actually. However, it's mostly down to imagination unlike Arma, but I used to run an RP guild and I eventually neglected every part of the game apart from RP haha. It's a good game, and although people probably don't think this; it is the best mmorpg you're going to get.

Played since Vanilla, it has had its up's and downs but the main part for me is the social side, played with a guild who in turn became rl friends, had many irl meetups and parties.

I am giving Legion a go since i am a Burning Legion fanboy and want to try Demon hunter Class.

Love or Hate WoW but its being going 10 years and most successful MMORPG of all time, its bound to go stale at some point.

So the general consensus is its not that great, well as eve is just login set skills and log out at the moment i'm going to give it a go, wont use the code yet just get a month i think, if anyone wants to hit me up somewhere give me a shout games are always more fun with people you know. besides #roleplayeverything

I used to play EvE in 2005-2007 and as with WoW it is only fun with friends, i play on Nagrand-EU realm with a semi-hardcore raiding guild but we are taking a break until the Legion Pre-Patch.

Avoid WoW RP Servers it is literally full of 8 year olds screaming, people cybering in the Goldshire Inn beds (aka Pornshire) mass marriages everyday lmao, if you are a female character expect mass whisper spam asking for pics (not even joking lol)
